i would say 90% of these kids dont know they fathers who either are dead from " that life" or are "serving life "

The sad thing is their parents are always trying to justify BS like this.

it morphed from all those ENTs (entertainment groups/promoter teams) that would throw random house parties and charge for entrance, as well as sell you nutcrackers/weed/etc.
once that money slowed up they just turned to regular gangs...its looking like da 80's all over again word to da decepticons & lo' head...

So what can/should be done?
Does NY not have any prevention programs prior to, or in lieu of, juve?
My nephew has been in A LOT of trouble, and down here they really give you a lot of chances before they finally put you in juve. He was in a boy;'s home program for a while where it's like a 12 step program actually quite similar to a live in rehab, there is an adventure behavior modification program where they go up in the mountains and camping and @@*! , the hospitals have some sort of program which obviously includes medical attention. The stuff he got caught for was never as serious as these crimes though. As for if they work, he has turned it back around and is doing much better getting straight a's in school again, but that's really because he wants to play football/wrestle and has to be eligible and it's still a tough comparison because he was raised mostly by my parents so none of the typical excuses, had plenty of male role models and examples of success, his mom (my sister) and my parents are well off, he just was always obsessed with "that life" from a young age so it was a blatantly conscious decision and not something he was conditioned or predisposed to.
Like you said, you hate to see them become part of the system at that age, but @@*! you can;t have them on the streets terrorizing law abiding citizens either.
Maybe the US should find a way to adopt China's birth control policy.

YB and YG are big out here. Thing is you can be crip or blood to be in either because your team comes first (that's who you're closer too or make money with).
