Perhaps its just they are fit enough to pull todays looks off.
The tubby and roided up just cant do sleek.
its the difference between fitted and stuffed.

to add to it, majority of soccer players are average height too

They aren't fake but they just look like trash in all the pictures I've seen them. I still have my '04 pair in mint shape and it looks like this re-retro has the 'banana boat' shape as well as really thin 'leather' or no sockliner at all.
