They find backdoor layovers and give you links to orbitz/experida or even the home websit.

I'm flying from Boston to Philippines for 6 days, tokyo for 3 days, 1079 round trip. If you look up any round trip flights to tokyo from boston they are already 1200-1300 bottom.

used skiplagged app last couple times I've flown, was able to get close to last minutes tickets for a cheaper price than most sites

only negative is that some flights are "hidden city" flights and they won't allow you to check a bag

I check prices on skiplagged, though I haven't used, and was not aware and didn't consider you can't check a bag if hidden city

These sites track which cities you keep checking for tickets so they know you need a ticket to that city and therefore keep showing the highest prices
