there is no underage section in legit porn sites.  dudes get that stuff by trading in chat rooms/forums and their activity is almost always logged.  there are entire law enforcement squads not to mention vigilant citizens dedicated to tracking child sex trafficking and the dissemination of illicit material involving children.

if you do it long enough eventually someone will notice and catch you.

Yup, if he in fact was doing it hes done....theyll have a ton of evidence.....my friends dad got arrested last summer for trading images in a underground sharing thing, got convicted within 2 months....basically if he gets arrested hes going away

Still could have been anyone using the Internet connection. Happens to people all the time in regards to illegal activity on the Internet.

I'll wait for more details to come out before I make any kind of judgment. I hope it's not true though, dude always seemed like a decent guy and he's been known for doing a lot charity work with kids and if he's attracted to young children, I don't want to even think what might have happened in those events.
 
The thing with these kinds of allegations is authorities don't just move on the first hint of wrong doing... They try to build a case (they do sometimes jump the gun when it's a celebrity involved, though.)

What concerns people is for them to get a warrant to search his home and seize property, then they have it on pretty good authority that there's something to be found there. The question then becomes did Chris Andersen do anything wrong...
 
do we know for a fact that Crimes Against Children means child porn or anything sexual like that?

what if hypothetically, Andersen set up backyard fights where kids boxed each other. I'm just making up something stupid, but could Crimes Against Children also mean something like that or is it always sexual crimes?
 
Apparently it was a CA law enforcement agency that tipped this off to CO law enforcement. My guess is they tracked him trying to lure an underage girl online over a period of a few months. Or at least tracked someone who was living with him.
