CLOSED, NEW THREAD OPENED

Word all excellent points. U kinda knew Reggie was gunna chill this offseason. He's gunna wait the market out and find the best deals. I have trust and faith. It's imperative that we get some players who can come in and contribute in the first 3 rounds.

U know Reggie gunna pull some UDFA gems that no one even knows about right now too.

I'm happy with the way things turned out but can you imagine?

if I recall Mark wanted to bring him in under Reggie, but Scott was looking to have more control. lots of media people gave Mark **** about it, saying he was a fool for wanting to keep Reggie and have Scott work under him.

I mean he's a well respected talent evaluator, was part of building 2 great teams in SF and SEA. pretty sure he can be a asset to a front office, with that said I wouldn't want a dude who's possibly drunk making those kind of decisions

So we've lost 5 free agents and have yet to sign any free agents. Reggie has to be a aiming for compensatory picks and bargain contacts.

I'll still root for the homie DJ.

Glad he didn't sign with an AFC rival. I thought TJ did well last year though, except when he got burnt that one time by I forgot who...but I just remember him gettin lit up by somebody :lol

Victor Cruz is done. Resign Holmes to be a gunner/4th WR or Reggie gunna draft a WR.

Are defense already not good and losing a lot of roles players

.

Draft can't fix all of our problems many of are players didn't contribute last year that we drafted.

DeAndre and Jalen probably contributed the most last year.

Maybe I have high standards but Joseph didn't look very good to me.

Like I said I have high standards/expectations really disappointed we are keeping Seth Roberts and not trying to upgrade from him.

I think this is our life now, similar to how the Packers don't really do much in FA. :lol

I would really like to know if Reggie offered anything to the guys we lost tho.

Im sure he tried but he can't compete financially with the desperate teams now.

dont think he'll completely follow the GB model. but he has had better success in drafts than picking up FA's (only two that stick out as great were Crabtree and Osemele)

Crabtree was late in the process too. KO & Irvin are outliers.

I do agree with you, I don't think reggie is following GB model to a tee. Altho it is somewhat funny that GB and OAK are the only 2 teams yet to sign an outside free agent.

I think Reggie just has a set price on players and won't budge from that. Could be a bad thing but this will keep us out of salary cap trouble forever.

Keep the salary cap room open. U never know who can come available, you never know who can get cut. Also it's good keepin space open so you can be a player in every free agent period.

Rationale > having "high standards"

Karl Joseph was one of the more productive rookies defensive players in the league.

He passed the eye test alone but the numbers don't lie, we were drastically better defensively when he was on the field vs. when he was not.

Not that we should but, who do you upgrade Seth Roberts with?
