Not for me. Finishline can definitely run dumb promos, but sometimes they have crazy steals. Got me a grey showtime hoodie that was already on sale for $75 and I also had a birthday reward. They applied the reward before the 40% discount though.
I think some people went about it the wrong way and tried to apply the code to anything they wanted. Next time, just find a site like slickdeals or sneakersteal. Their links will usually take you to a page with items the code can be applied to, so you don't waste time. That's what I did last week and it was pretty easy to check for anything I wanted.
