The Trump supporter’sSaint Pablo Tour landed in Sacramento Saturday night, and instead of performing a set worth the money fans paid, Kanye did three songs and ranted for several minutes about Beyonce before shutting everything down and calling it a night.
The show started off promising with Kanye bringing out Kid Cudi. They did three songs, including “Waves” twice and “Father Stretch My Hands” a couple of times. But then Kanye turned into Kanye and ranted for a good 15 minutes while dissing everyone from Mark Zuckerberg to radio to DJ Khaled, and, surprisingly, Beyonce. Apparently, the mad genius was pissed that Beyonce’s “Formation” won the VMA for Video Of The Year under some shady circumstances.
“Being perfect don’t always change ****, bro! I was hurt, Beyonce! I was hurt!” Kanye yelled before revealing a conversation he had with MTV execs. “I wanted to present a video called “Famous” and out of respect, MTV told me, ‘Mr. West, out of respect to you, I will let you know that Beyonce is winning the VMA tonight for “Formation” over “Hotline Bling” and “Famous.”
Knowing what happened the last time he felt an artist got jipped out of a VMA, Kanye said the exec told him in advance of Bey’s win so that he wouldn’t run up on stage while Beyonce graciously accepted her award. Still, Kanye didn’t think it was fair what the Formation singer reportedly did, adding, “Beyonce, I’m hurt. Because I heard that you said you wouldn’t perform unless you won Video of the Year over me and over “Hotline Bling.”
He did try to clean it up by saying he thought Bey was “great,” but then said she played “the politics” too much. “**** winning! **** looking cool! **** being cool. **** all that, brah!” And then he brought up that time he risked his career standing up for Mrs. Carter and “went down seven years on behalf of [“Single Ladies”] by pulling that 2009 VMA stunt with Taylor Swift.
Kanye also had a message for his work friend Jay Z. Looks like Hov never reached out to Kanye after that first rant from last month. “Jay Z! Call me, bruh! You still ain’t call me! Jay Z, I know you got killas. Please don’t send them at my head. Just call me [and] talk to me like a man.”
All in all, it was another ****** show for fans and they made sure Kanye knew how they felt with a “**** you, Kanye!” chant.
