Damn. 1999 was a good year. 1999 in 10 minutes.

:pimp: that "steal my susnshine" was just in my head too.

remember when everyone was scared of Y2K? Like legitimately everyone in the world thought the Earth would end and the computers would either take over like the matrix or all electronic devices would stop working like that show Revolution. It was worse than the whole 2012 scare. Then nothing happened and soooo many preachers and survivalists were like :nerd: :wow:.....i swear its alot of households in america still drinking water bottles that they stocked up on in 1999.

damn ya'll are young. I was 12 in '99. Singing "I Believe I Can Fly" at every middle school graduation, funeral, first communion, old people birthday party, etc.

:pimp: slip-on And 1 sneakers. being too poor to cop the KG's.

NBA Live, Tekken 2 (i think at this time),

AOL chatrooms (a/s/l?)

Surfing porn websites simply by wacking off to various "free tours". Mind you these sites were only pics and you still had to wait a couple minutes before the pics showed up.

Napster, Kazaa, start downloading songs before you go to sleep and hope the songs are done when you get up for school so you can burn a CD and bring it to class.

Going to the library and printing out hundreds of pages just pics of various Pokemon. Printing out hundreds of pages of rap lyrics for you and your friends to memorize and rap at lunchtime like ya'll came up with them.

Soooo much fun stuff.

*someone says something dumb* NECK! *about to chop their neck* NAH 50! *damn he called 50 in time....imma get him next time though*

Are You Me? I swear I did the same thing with kazaa and printing pokemon pictures by the dozen.

You don't understand the disappointment if they hadn't downloaded by the time it was for to go :smh:

That video was dope, but you can't put a great year like '99 in a 10 minute video.

I turned 9 in Sept. of 99. I remember a grip of boy bands, Pokemon on Gameboy color, WWF was hot with the Rock, Yo-Yos, that Blue song drives me crazy to this day, I sang half those songs with sexual innuendos without even knowing. I'd still gladly hit J-Lo & Brittney still regardless of the body count they've accumulated over the years.

I was 14 just starting life. Going into HS. Losing my virginity. Riding bikes everywhere in the hunt for girls. Listening to the radio station, which I work for now. Meeting girls off of the Internet...especially AOL and Blackplanet. Watching TRL...which was DOMINATED by Eminem, Britney Spears, Christina Aguilera, 'N Sync, Backstreet Boys, 98 Degrees, and a million other boy bands. Hating Macy Gray. TLC and Destiny's Child with their "I hate men." anthems.

My God...miss those days.

Matrix...timeless classic. Way ahead of its time.
Fight Club...classic.
Foo Fighters - Learn To Fly
Creed - Higher...which I could imitate perfectly.

I could go all day. :smh:

If I had a time machine, the present would never see me. Ever.

Oh most def. I was really going off of the video but 1999...

The Roots - "You Got Me"...I used to walk to the bus stop to this ALL the time.
"Bling Bling" took over everything shiny. :smh:

I was 8 years old. But I remember a good chunk of clips from the video.

I would actually do unlawful things to be a child again :frown: .

:wow: :pimp: so many memories

'99 was a great year ... was a junior in HS ... great music, sports was my life, spent all my money from working at dunkin donuts on kicks & CDs, got my first BJ  etc.

Whats your dads name bro? We gotta have the same one. I was 10 but life was so easy back then.

That kinda makes me sick... That was 14 years ago. I was about to turn 11 at this point in 1999. I wish I would have listened to people when they said time goes faster the older you get, because it definitely does.

I'm glad I'm not alone in thinking this about 1999. I knew it was great while it was happening. At the end of my senior year I thought to myself a lot "it's never gonna be this great" :smh:

man I hated 99

I was in 8th grade...I got really bad acne that year but things got better close to the end of the year it was my first time going to US....I went to LA and I remember Dre chronic 2001 came out and every car had still dre bumpin!!

but 1997 was that year! one of my favorite years! never forget that year Wu-Tang Forever coming out just took over my life!

Damn man. so many memories. I was 11 at this time. just going through this thread reading all the things from '99 just took me back. I remeber going to my elementary

school prom (the last prom I ever went to) and trying to get dance from girls by going up behind them and getting rejected every single one of them  :smh: I was a HUGE

wrestling fan at this time ( i was a huge fan all throughout the 90s) and I remember the WWF had their own take on the whole Y2K thing with Y2J (the countdown to

Chris Jericho's debut) and every Monday Night Raw they will have a countdown with Y2J on the jumbo screen. nobody didn't know exactly what it was at time and I

was very curious about it. They always play it either in the middle of a match or when someone was talking in the ring. but yeah, this is just proof of how great this time

was compared to how it is now (which is terrible :smh: ) I swear I would trade everything from today (facebook, twitter, youtube, tumblr/tumblr famous teens and hypebeats,

hiphop now) and go back to 1999 and never look back.
