Boys came together like The Lox
Got damn. This joint fire.
Wonder what the studio session was like in there. Reminds me of some old Lox ****.
Don Q and G-Herbo done grown on me. Idk if I can listen to entire projects by them. But they absolutely KILL every feature they're on.
Went to Dave East at Howard Theater in DC. Was one of the worst show I've ever been to from an artist signed to a major. Crowd was completely dead, he only moved 200 tickets. Had no stage presence and seemed uninterested the whole time. Kept saying the same dumb phrases in between each song in a useless attempt at crowd interaction. Overall it was really disappointing.
Part of it may lie on Howard Theater though, a horribly failing venue and a shell of once it once was. I did a show there last year and brought more heads out than the headliner did. SMH and they overcharge crazy prices at the door. Straight thievery.
Overall I'm realizing Dave East is kinda average because he has only one flow and delivery and one vocal inflection that doesn't shift in range ever is kinda basic lyrically. He straight up bores me to death sometimes but I rock with some tracks hard like Type of Time.
A lot of guys who are hyped now, would be run of the mill back in the 90's. It's still refreshing though.

just seen him last week and his performance seemed pretty fine for the venue that it was in, the crowd wasn't that hyped but they wanted 808's and adlibs all night.
Definitely. It's nice to see him experiment and if he can add some different flows to his arsenal along the way that would be ideal but yeah he def shouldn't sell himself out for mainstream appeal or nothing like thatI don't want East doing anything Migo flow like at all unless it's one of these throwaway freestyles. Chasing hits and club songs is what killed Vado rising. It's proven time & time again now, stay true to your art, make good music & slowly build a true following.
A hit is cool and all but chasing that is a quick way to kill your buzz.
