Their problem before was they didn't focus or think of the future, that is why all other movies are inconsistent and broken when you try to link them together.
By looking to the future, that lets them set-up sequels and it'll be much more clear and straight forward and this is the best way to do it. All they have to do is reset the world with DoFP and make that the one and only universe/timeline and go from there.
I don't get it, that is exactly what most of you guys want DC/WB to do, copy Marvel/Avengers format but when Fox tries it you are against it?

Nobody is against it. We just look at their history and expect nothing good from them.
Side note, I hate how every movie now is nothing but a set up for the next. I understand leaving room for the next installment but leaving a quarter of the movie plot to finsih on the next is just frustrating.

These are comic book movies though. Comic books are not usually one offs, they're written in just the way you're describing

I think it makes sense to plan ahead. Where the movies screw up is trying to tell too much story in one movie.

Finally saw The Wolverine. Man, that was so much trash. Very disappointed.
Not sure why it's so hard to get these stories right on screen. And if you're not going to go by the book at least make it entertaining. Nothing about that movie was good, and I really wanted it to be.

i had a feeling it would be caca. i enjoyed the first couple films for what it was but then again i enjoyed batman and robin for what it was also. now if i wanted to watch a good movie, i would definitely never watch a x-men film. we just need a reboot already and have it done correctly.

I know when I saw Quicksilver I actually thought the word dork.
Hopefully he dies early on after his introduction.
I don't particularly care about his appearance though. He just runs fast. Never been a huge part of the X-Men.

Quicksilver is simply Singers middle finger to Marvel for using him in their universe and by the looks of him, he is definitely in the right direction with giant F U for sure.

I think he is also very easy to pull off, he doesn't need the tights but or blue or green leotard. I think he is trying to pull this off but just completely missed the mark. I mean seriously, sleek back the damn hair!

I think singer purposely does stuff to piss people off. Surprised he didn't give quiksilver matching silver pants. It looks like that might be his casual outfit though. Wonder if he'll have a real costume to wear on missions / fighting scenes.
