"Days of Future Past" - New X-Men Movie Release Date (First Class Sequel)

It'll piss a lot of people off though because iirc mutation is suppose to occur during puberty?

Marvel/mutant expert correct me on that if wrong, not sure if that is still the case?

The mutants possess the X-Gene, mutant gene or X-Factor, positioned on the 23rd chromosome, or sexual chromosome. This gene leads (via transcription and translation) to an exotic protein. This protein produces chemical signals inducing mutations on other genes, ending up with mutant organisms, variously empowered.

For most of the mutants (except for the mutants expressing their mutation at birth, or Changelings), the mutation occurs for most of the people during puberty or under stress, so it could be speculated that the expression of the X-Gene is stimulated by stress (adrenaline, cortisol, etc) or sexual hormones (testosterone and estrogen). In the same way, the Secondary Mutations also appear in time of great stress.

Thanks RFX45.. hope Fox doesn't take that down though. :rolleyes

At least NT won't be in trouble since it isn't hosted in NTs servers, they'd have to ask Youtube to take it down.

At least that is my understanding of how it works.

I actually like that clip a lot, they showed off their powers more than they ever did in the first 3 X-Films and it was utilized well. I just hope it is much longer in the theaters.

My only real concern is that the opening battle will be the only real action scene with the new future mutants.

Because if I am reading into this correctly, I'm assuming there are a lot of lives lost in the future battle (which is at the start of the film), and that's when they decide to send Kitty back in time. I'm guessing the tipping point is the possible death of Storm (she was once the leader of the X-Men Gold Team) which would be a grave loss.

With that, I figure a huge chunk of the film will be sequences with the First Class crew cross cut with occasional scenes of dialogue with the original X-Men cast in the future. And as much as I liked First Class, the action scenes I've seen with them in DoFP haven't been that exciting.

I'm really hoping that isn't the case, but Singer seems more interested with working with the First Class crew and I hope that there's at least a good balance with the original cast.

As for the MTV clip, no real complaints. Love Bishop, Blink and Iceman. I'm used to seeing Warpath being hulk like, but I guess the current iterations have him more slender. Even though he looks too much like the Human Torch, Sunspot looks fine. Mark X Sentinels look good, IMO. Not very comic-like, but looks very sci-fi which I don't mind at all.

Yah it's been confirmed that future XMen are only in the beginning so it'll be an extended action of that and that'll be it for them.

Difference with 1st Class and DoFP is different director though so I think there will be lots more action with the past XMen and the Brotherhood for sure, I mean you just have to with Sentinel battle in the past.

If anything I was expecting more footage with the First Class crew fighting the Sentinels, but really haven't seen anything yet. Final trailer comes out this Tuesday, so maybe I'll get the snippets that I'm looking for.

Someone on here said the future scenes look like Mortal Kombat Annihilation and I haven't been able to think otherwise since

Wasn't Mutant X on the CW channels before the CW? It was part of that Action Hour that used to include Hercules and Xena. That show was baaaaad. Fox actually sued Marvel because of this show haha

Or what about that God awful tv movie Generation X :lol

Wasn't it shown on Saturdays? I've never watched a full episode of it. I remember the guy who played Lex Luthor on Lois & Clark was in it.

They're probably saving that for the film, might show too much spoilers if they showed them especially if they have their own gear/costume especially Wolvy in a mask.

That's exactly what it reminded me of when I made my earlier post in another thread about the trailer :lol :{

Sad cuz Mutant X while supported by Marvel and Fox had nothing to do with the X-Men or mutants like we know them to be. They were just escaped gov't experiments.

Oh god!

Channing Tatum Has Met with FOX for GAMBIT Role

"I met with Lauren Shuler Donner," revealed Channing Tatum to MTV (via Slash Film) "And I would love it. Gambit is really the only X-Man I’ve ever loved. I mean I’ve loved them all, they’re all great, but I guess from being down south – my dad’s from Louisiana, I’m from Mississippi, Alabama, Florida – I don’t know. I just related to him. He’s just kind of suave… He’s the most un X-Men X-Man that’s ever been in X-Men. Other than maybe Wolverine, who’s like the anti-hero. He’s a thief. He’s not even a hero. He’s kind of walking the line of grey…He loves women and drinking and smoking and stuff so he’s just a cool guy who happens to have a moral center….I hope it [comes together]. You never know it’s a weird industry. If the stars align, I would die to play it. I’m already working on the accent. It’s crappy at the moment."
