I remember watching the flashpoint animated movie and when Thomas Wayne came out blasting I remember thinking "holy ****. Batman got guns and he out here murkin". That **** will not land the same in the DCEU since Bruce murkin too

Also kinda iffy messing with WW like that.. plus you kinda need to establish other characters so at least they matter to some extent

Eh. WW was the best CBM this year. Saying she didn't want anything to do with man and then back it up with the WW movie was A1 to me.

No it wasn't.. it might be the best DCEU movie, but that ain't exactly stiff competition

Movie is flawed and could be cleaned up very easily (cut everything with ares at the end, cut out some of the unnecessary slow mo and turn down the Boris and Natasha routine from ole dude and poison lady)

How exactly did WW the movie 'back it up' and justify a iconic female character sitting on her hands for 100 years?

100 years which included numerous other wars and issues she supposedly fought against.. I mean at least captain America was frozen in his time away from the fight, since the movie is basically first avenger with better actual war scenes




As far as CBMs in 2017, I think GOTG vol 2, lego batman and Logan are all better.. although I think it was close with Logan, as that movie didn't close well either in my opinion but the very very end stuck the landing

I haven't seen Spiderman homecoming yet.. and kingsman and Thor are both coming

Nah, I just love cussing. I do think with the greatness we got from cbms this year, WW is at the bottom, although I thought it was good. Had to change my 8 to a 7.5.

More lies. Gogt2 scenes are damm near quotable . Yondus funeral came to mind in 0.1 seconds. Logan isn't my #1 btw.

Hella forced jokes, some fell hella flat. Only scene I really remember genuinely laughing at was teenage groot

Yondu's disneyland firework show was meh. In a list of CBM scenes from 2017 I don't think I can come up with one from GOTG. You could argue a damn living planet but even then I really had to sit here and think about what I remember from that movie...

GOTG vol2 was good but it didn't knock it out of the park like GOTG in my opinion... Felt like something was missing.

It had everything a cbm film needed for me. Emotion, humor, serious moments.

GoTG2 bugs me with its weird "tell a joke at all costs" cutaway style of dialogue compounded by the constant emotional force-feeding

We get it, X character went through a ****** up experience OH LOL DID YOU HEAR WHAT HE SAID

Logan was great for like 80-85% of the movie, until they get to the mountain.. and then it gets right at the grave

It's just that portion between then that takes it down.. movie is 'nebraska' with a lil 'no country for old men' thrown in, but unlike 'nebraska' you don't get that payoff according to the story

Professor x spent the whole movie BEGGING Logan to get back in the game.. dude goes to that mountain sees a bunch of kids that need legit leadership..

And dude is asleep most of the time.. then one of the kids gave dude some of MJ's special stuff.. and dude gets worked when that wears off

Afterthe professor's death.. Logan stepping up at that mountain was the perfect redemption for the movie
