DC Studios THREAD - GunnVerse Begins - The Penguin out 9/19 then every Sunday on MAX

that actually isn't bad, Greengas and Ridley Scott supposedly makes $5m-$10m depending on the film

there were speculations that Whedon got paid around $10m for AoU and that is after being shorted for A1 (he was complaining about Marvel hiring lesser known/up and coming directors because they're cheap)
You know Whedon probably getting 12 to direct Batgirl :lol

As for with Marvel, I figure they shorted him cuz RDJR was getting paid 60 mil :lol

welp i guess the rumors of Deathstroke and Xanax Batfleck fight topping the warehouse scene aint happening

Ben Affleck's THE BATMAN Screenplay Was Reportedly Influenced By This David Fincher Movie

A Tweet from The Wrap's Umberto Gonzalez - which was actually liked by Joe Manganiello - reveals which David Fincher movie inspired Affleck.

That was 1997 mystery thriller The Game. Starring Michael Douglas and Sean Penn, it told the story of a wealthy investment banker who is given a mysterious gift: participation in a game that integrates instrange ways with his everyday life. As the lines between the banker’s real life and the game become more uncertain, hints of a conspiracy become apparent. What does that have to do with The Batman?

It's been said that the movie would have been very detective focused, so chances are Affleck was looking at the thriller and conspiracy aspects of The Game for help in establishing the tone of this film.

NIGHTWING Director Promises A "F***ing Badass Action Movie" And A "Visceral Experience" For Fans

It's been a while since we've heard anything concrete about Nightwing but we do know that the plan is for The LEGO Batman Movie director Chris McKay to take the helm of the DC Comics adaptation. Now, he's revealed some fresh details about the project and the signs all seem to be pointing to this being something very special indeed. Then again, **** Grayson definitely isn't your typical superhero!

Here's what McKay had to say about how he plans to handle Nightwing's overdue big screen debut:

"It’s gonna be a [frick]ing badass action movie with a lot of heart and emotion. It’s gonna be a crazy, fun ride. Whoever gets cast as Nightwing, and any of the other actors around, are gonna go through a [frick]ing boot camp experience because it’s gonna be a lot. I’m not gonna do a lot of CG. It’s gonna be all real ****. It’s gonna be real stuntwork, and they’re gonna need to do all of the stuff on camera and do it credibly. For the cast and the crew, it’s gonna be a visceral experience, and for the audience. It’s not gonna be like a lot of these movies where there’s a lot of CG and flying, and things like that. Everything he does is gonna have to be real. His superpower is being really [frick]ing good, as a human being, at fighting and gymnastics and **** like that, so you’re gonna see that on screen. It’s gonna be fun!"

Talking about what drew him to Nightwing, McKay added:

"I’m a big comic book fan, and being able to do the story of Nightwing, to do a **** Grayson story, which is a character that every single person in the world knows, but has never really had a lot of screentime. They make a billion Spider-Man movies and a lot of Batman movies, and they’ve tried The Hulk. When they were making the Tim Burton movies, they were always like, ‘Oh, maybe we’ll do Robin in this now. Maybe we’ll save Robin for Returns. Nope, we’ll save it for the next one.’ With Christopher Nolan, people were like, ‘Is he gonna do Robin?’ When they made Batman v Superman, they were talking about it. I’m a big fan of underdog stories, and he is one of the biggest underdog stories in comics. And he’s a character that I grew up with. I like the arc."

‘Krypton’: Shaun Sipos To Play Adam Strange In Syfy Superman Prequel Series

Based on DC characters created by Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster, Krypton is set two generations before the destruction of the legendary Man of Steel’s home planet. It follows Superman’s grandfather (Cameron Cuffe) — whose House of El was ostracized and shamed — as he fights to redeem his family’s honor and save his beloved world from chaos. Sipos’ Adam Strange is a world-weary human, who finds himself stranded on Krypton as the unlikely mentor to Seg-El, Superman’s grandfather.

Adam Strange was among several popular DC Comics characters announced at Comic-Con as upcoming additions to Krypton.

could see Ezra as Nightwing if he wasn't casted as Flash already

Regarding Flash pic, I'm glad he doesn't need 8+ ppl helping him out

Me either.

I kept grouping that with the Titans live action thing and the guy they cast.

If its one thing the DCEU is really committed to their alleged "cinematic multimeter".

NIGHTWING Director Talks Warner Bros.' Filmmaker Driven Approach And Struggles To Build The DCEU

Asked about the competition between the Marvel and DC, Nightwing director Chris McKay said that "these movies are not trying to follow the Marvel model, they’re trying to do their own thing with filmmakers that they like, and produce things that are wholly original and wholly unique." However, he did acknowledge that the studio is finding it challenging to create a shared world for their heroes.

"They still want to build a universe, and that’s why it takes a lot of time and a lot of people banging their heads together trying to figure out what to do. Because it’s hard. It’s hard to get all these people, and all these egos, and all this stuff in one place and get it all to work out. But they are committed to that, and that’s what’s amazing about working with Jon [Berg] and Geoff [Johns]. They’re real partners, and so is everyone at the Warner Bros. family."

Despite that, McKay had nothing but good things to say about Warner Bros.' filmmaker driven approach to their movies, something which hasn't always worked for them in the past but paid off with Wonder Woman. It sounds like that's a big part of why the director is excited to helm Nightwing.

"Warner Bros. is a more director-driven studio. Period. The end. More than any other studio you’re ever going to work at. Just look at the roster of world class filmmakers that have worked at Warner Bros and made it their home. Warner Bros is a director-driven studio, and that’s exactly how they are operating these movies."
