DC Studios THREAD - GunnVerse Begins - The Penguin out 9/19 then every Sunday on MAX

Who did Batman kill in JL?

Fans try so hard to distance Batman from his killing ways in the comics. Somebody needs to bring the 2 guns back.

If only the Black Bat wasn't a public domain character :{

The audience.
:lol

The personality change from BvS to JL really was weird.

Snyder really crazy to think after making him so obsessive that a Martha line could change everything and then make him guilty about Supes' death.

Then DC let him get Whedonized.

killed in the comics, killed in burton movies, killed in Nolan movies, killed in BvS but ppl cry about this one lol = goofy batfleck in JL

Point being completely missed

Snyder made a comment regarding the dark knight returns in defense of what he was doing

Always thought Batman not killing as an MO was corny and mostly selfish.
That MO, along with the no guns thing, is what keeps him interesting. Without it you’re left with the trash BVS Batman. If killing and using guns is no problem he should just chill in the bat jet while Alfred picks the bad guys off via remote control lol.

Batman killing is ok. but I agree that guns and super weapons is corny.
remember, Batman at his core is a detective. We have yet to see this done well on screen.

Since we were talking about Batman Returns before, the penguin’s clown goons didn’t really kill many people, if at all. They beat up a lot of people and would usually just shoot their guns in the air. Michael Keaton Da Gawd might’ve murked more people in that movie.

Exactly and dude is tactical.. we've see elements but it not all put together.. TDK being the best best of all worlds we've seen on screen

But having that training montage was super weak when you realize dudes training to go fight supes.. would have much rathered seen dude using his head to investigate everything about dude, but Snyder

Could have built up to a justice league doom movie, because of bats discovering supes weakness in what should have just been man of steel 2 with bats in it

You’ve just shined a light on how much more trash that movie actually is. Legit never thought about that. Dude out there doing CrossFit as if his ability to do weighted dips will somehow topple Superman once and for all LOL

Even in the TDK returns in preparation for Superman he built the suit and created the Uber elaborate trap. He already knew he couldn’t fight him.

the work out montage was to show that despite being old, he was still in tip-top shape and can physically do what he is about to do (if they didn't show this, people would be like: why isn't he breathing hard, isn't he too old, he seems out of shape, isn't he too fat, etc...)

and they showed him prepping for the fight with the spehere but it was done so it is more of a surprise when the fight happens

he didn't really have tech to fight Supes to begin with, just the suit, those kryptonite smoke bullets (which I thin they showed him making) and the spear

in the context of the film, they showed what they could and to keep the rest a "surprise"

now if the critic is that Bats show have approached him in a different manner, then that is a whole new different discussion

yeah and even in TDK, it wasn't fully explored from that POV.
I still go to the comic books to get that HONEST TO GOODNESS BATS.
how come none of them want to do a hit like Hush. something that
explores Batman's detective skills while being easy for the people to
digest.
(it goes without saying that the 97 villains in that comic cannot be on screen so we have to pick and choose and maybe spread it over
a couple movies)

rfx45 rfx45 I dunnio.. would have much rathered seen dude doing the detective leg work and in that process could have seen him take down couple bad guys easily to show he still 'got it'

I mean I don't need to see dude up his training regiment for couple days as if that's going change anything.. I mean any half decent athlete knows you taper off before big meets/games to let your body rest up, the hard work is put in months before

but we don't know if he did "up" his training just for that day, that could just be his usual crossfit day, whya re you assuming it's a one-off training?

again it's just to show he is fit and not as fat dude in a suit :lol

and they were saving up his awesome scene for the warehouse, taking down a thug here and there isn't really much for someone that many fears

he did a little bit of detective work, pretty similar to TDK really, just hacking and searching and following up on Luthor

i honestly like how they portrayed Bats and Bruce in BvS, he was out there in underground fights to spy and do detective work and hacking Luthors system and he had bada** Batman moments, like literally the best batman movements and fight scener ever made

now on JL they should have made it more about him since he was the focus of the film for the most part and he should have been owning all those parademons and have a few bada** moment against stephenwolf, like wolfy could be trying to hit him and dude just dodges and plants a bomb on his feet knocking him down or some smokebombs to the face with boost pods on the back to throw him to the wall, even if it does nothing to Wolfyboy it would show he was just a bad m'fer no matter what but sadly they had to give him more one-liner jokes instead and nerfed the bats we saw in BvS

Sigh....He wasn't training to fight supes, he was training to wield his bat armor.

Sigh....He wasn't training to fight supes, he was training to wield his bat armor. Come on man! Does this movie has to be explained word for word?

And the armor was for?

Plus how does this go against my point exactly?

When you up your training, you don't get results in the immediate.. if anything your breaking your body down further and will probably perform worse in the short term
