I know it'd be a terrible business move, but studios should release the audition tape when the actor is announced for a role. Let the public get a glimpse of what the studio saw.

But would that "transition" include tattoo removal?
And I know people are already getting sick of the comparisons, but what I liked about the TDK Joker is that he was fully formed when he was introduced. No one knew his origin and he would only tease his upbringing. Since Suicide Squad is an ensemble, I really hope they don't go into a Joker back story.

Twitter grain-of-salt scoop per my source: Common may be playing Black Manta. #SuicideSquad
I LIKE IT
Any time someone tries to pull an "early Apri'sl Fools" or "belated" one they're just being an *** hole. An unrepentant jackass with too much time on their hands and obviously don't have a good enough sense of humor to be seen as funny unless they have an excuse for it. April's Fools is on April 1st.Belated Aprils Fools?
Frank Miller be on his ****.The master race tho?
BTW, just caught the ending of TDK on TBS. Say what you will about the length of the film (and/or third act), but the Bats/Gordon speech in the end is one of the best wrap ups I've ever seen in a movie. Just perfect. Batman becomes a fugitive but realizes that he needs to continue his war on crime. Gordon truly becomes his only ally. Not this damn, "lets erect a statue in his honor and have another kid become Batman." Damn shame they didn't stop it as a duology. End rant.
The third movie was supposed to have Joker return
Couldn't take his portrayal seriously. He was trying to sound too much like Heath. He had a nice laugh tho.
Even though this is a fair assumption, it was never confirmed. When Aaron Eckhart was interviewed after the TDK release, he mentioned that Heath was "suppose to go on," but obviously Nolan never confirmed it.The third movie was supposed to have Joker return
Watched those "everything wrong with in 2 minutes" about TDK on Youtube, why exactly did they have to blame Batman for Harvey's death again?BTW, just caught the ending of TDK on TBS. Him escaping Arkham is most likely what would've happened. Where else would they put him? A normal jail?I think the idea of Ledger's return was always a given.
I got the impression that in TDK the battle was won, but not the war. In a way you could say that Joker came out the victor in TDK because of Dent.
IDK I just always got the "it wasn't over" vibe.
But in a sence, Ledger's passing served to cement the character as one of the greatest in film history. We know absolutely nothing about where he came from, and from an in-universe perspective, we know nothing about where he went.
A novelization says that he was locked up in Arkham and then escaped, but that doesn't sit right with me.
