DC Studios THREAD - GunnVerse Begins - The Penguin out 9/19 then every Sunday on MAX

I'd rather watch the extended LOTR trilogy back to back before I turn on Watchmen again.

Also I read an article that was interesting regarding DC's approach to its shared universe. Marvel is pretty much guided by Fiege, and the author made a statement that DC will be more director oriented. How do y'all feel about that?

^ ^ ^

Article was just posted a page back.

There are good things and bad. In one point it is good to have the artist director do their vision instead of being shoehorned into something, it's the same lane they are taking with their tv shows and that is why they do not mind it being connected to the films. The bad is that unlike Marvel, there isn't a sense of unification from one mind/one world. It's difficult to balance it all especially when they blame Snyder and he gets busy making his own film (BvS, JL, etc...). Someone else needs to take over and really take a stranglehold on it but not just anybody, it needs to be someone who actually knows comics. Hell I'd snatch up Whedon and give him Feiges job for DC.

Though the article didn't mention but I believe Goyer also has a hand in the universe and it's overall direction. I don't like it but at this point it is better than nothing and he is more or less helping out Snyder.

By the way, this subject isn't really something new, it's been discussed ad nauseam.

I liked Watchmen. Even watched it in the theaters. Silk Spectre was the goods.

Zack Snyder gave her dialogue to the guys tho. Even in scenes where she was still on screen in movie version they would give her dialogue to one of the guys :lol This is the good part about having director oriented movies I guess. Snyder wont be in charge of WW.

The movie was garbage couldnt even finish it.

That looks cosplay like :x

I mean there's no "practicality" in the suit. It's just looks like a costume. Nothing tactical or "armor like" about it.

We've seen the tactical look before going all the way back to the '89 Batman film...

Something new is definitely appreciated by me. Just my opinion.  The lighting in the teaser trailer made it look better as well...

There's ways to capture the old look while making it practical

Perfect example IMO. Keeps the look and feel but adds modern depth to make it look more than just a costume.

I mean dude is about to fight superman armed with nothing but a small belt and a wool suit?

I'm sure that's not the suit he'll fight supes in. We did see the teaser trailer in which dude had armor.

I wish they went more tactical with the suit as well.. And as was mentioned in the dark knight

Lucius Fox: “You want to be able to turn your head.”
Bruce Wayne: “Sure would make backing out of the driveway easier.”
