DC Studios THREAD - GunnVerse Begins - The Penguin out 9/19 then every Sunday on MAX

The first episode wasn't that bad, at least I didn't think it was. She's real cute without the glasses. Would be cool if cavill made an appearance or two like how bradley cooper is doing for limitless.

They established real quick that her co-worker buddy was deep in the friendzone. Her revealing her biggest secret to him and then him helping her with her outfit. She also might be getting an ace of spades tattoo.

Don't got much to say about that pilot.

I'm just left wondering why CBS okayed this. I know I dislike 2/3rds of the shows they air but I really like the other 1/3rd and with what I know about the shows I don't like I can't say this show measures up. Lot of cringe worthy stuff.

Totally felt like Gotham caliber but should be on the CW.

Probably hoping it'll bring in a younger audience and they'll get some buzz besides their shows that have acronyms.

So they could naively say: "We're the first network to premiere a female superhero show"

I'll be sure to catch the show tomorrow. I wonder how it did tonight ratings wise.

I must admit i tuned in but itdidnt grab my attention. It said dean cain and hellen slater were in the episode but i dont remember seeing them?

The girl who plays supergirl is a paper bag treat. But i must admit when she tried on that supergirl skirt she probably moved more meat than a butcher.

Did they really cast a gump for jimmy olsen? I know they want to diversify but did they have to cast popeye jones nephew?

How important is that though. That aint gonna necessarily boost ratings and keep CBS #1. I understand wanting in on the superhero tv show stuff but I feel like they could've done better instead of being safe even if they wanted a female led show.

:lol

I'm thinking more of their list of shows. This don't really fit. I mean even the shows I don't like on CBS make sense for why they got the okay (I just don't understand how they last so long but apparently I don't keep the older demographic in mind :lol )

Dean Cain showed up once in the beginning when they were exposition-ing Supergirl's origin. He's basically her Pa Kent. An adoptive Earth dad.

I don't care for Brooks as an actor either.

I get what you're saying because it is an odd fit given their overall demographic. The people they cater to with shows like NCIS, CSI and Criminal Minds aren't going to watch Supergirl. This does belong on the CW especially given it is a subsidiary of CBS Corporation. The show looks to be very cheesy and low in overall quality based on what I've read from non biased eyes, but because there aren't any female heroes on TV of this caliber it'll draw until the gimmick wears off.

In terms of cgi, the quality seems to be very good by tv standards. What turns off the people on this board is that we're predominately male and the show appears to be geared to attract female viewers.

Yeah, the cgi looked pretty good. I wish they had the same fight scene movements as mos though. The way the movie showed super speed in a fight was awesome.

I wouldn't consider izombie a show geared towards females, just a show that happens to have a female as the lead.

I don't know anyone else who watches. It's probably geared towards me since I like Rose McIver. Didn't even realize she was in Masters of Sex before until I looked up what else she's been.
