I've got an unpopular view on suicide.
Lately I've been seeing it as honorable. Anyone who has ever been depressed knows what I'm talking about. It takes a brave person to kill themselves and enter the next level. Haven't any of you wondered what the afterlife is about? If you are living in so much mental anguish that every day is a chore, every time you get out of bed is exhausting, and you walk around with a dark cloud above your head 24/7, you might as well commit that (assuming you've tried medication already). Props, my brothers. See you at the next stage.

... and God? He's not around. But that's a different story.

We have greater mental capacity than my examples, sure, but in the grand scheme of things how are we significant? In the context of the universe, how are we as individuals important? 

What I believed then shaped who I am now. I no longer subscribe to any religion. I'm just like you really only I believe slightly less. It doesn't matter if you have some unique religious view different from the "Western" organized religions. At the end of the day, you're just as delusional and have just as little evidence, none, to back up your claims of the supernatural.

and again, you've been in enough of these threads to know that atheism isn't a belief that god isn't real. It's a rejection of the claim that he is real. If you can't see the fundamental difference between the two, that's your problem and you might want to learn to differentiate the two. I don't know if god is real. What I do know leads me to believe that him being real is unlikely.
