First half Dwight was 1-7...and finished 1-7fg

The last 8 minutes of the game they never threw him the ball inside..it was all pick and roll

and he gets criticized for his post moves :lol

THe guys made a push it just wasnt enough

21 left, Team only has 2 more probable losses on the schedule: @IND
Not sure if serious. They play 10 playoff teams and the way theyre playing they could easily lose 6 of those if not more.
You read the full post? I named 5 of those teams. And I actually forgot the road game in Atlanta. So, yeah that's 6 that they'll have trouble winning.

San Antonio is one of those 10 playoff teams & they don't play until game 81. I highly doubt Pop even plays his guys extended minutes in that one.

So now we're down to 3. Home games vs. HOU & GSW, and a road game vs. MIL. I don't see why they can't win all 3 of those.

So, I have them pegged to 4-6, at worst, in those 10 games. Then they have 11 others against non-PO teams. They have still have a good chance at qualifying for the PO's

I don't agree with you about Dwight being a factor tonight.

However, many of the other things you pointed out were also big reasons why we lost.
Good observations, I noticed a lot of those things as well.
Dwight's 16 boards weren't very impactful though bro...
They're SOMETHING, but not enough for what he expects to get paid this summer...

It also seems like in every big game we always fall behind by about 10 points in the first 3 minutes due to not getting any shots up because of turnovers.

I would normally lean toward a loss tomorrow (b2b, emotional/long game night before)

BUT, given our play off situation none of that ish matters now

I misunderstood your wording I apologize.

9-13 is how theyre finishing this.

15-7 or worse and we won't make the playoffs. So they better start winning.

there was a sequence today when dwight was trying to post up but never got the entry pass, then eventually the ball got swung and earl clark got the entry pass

it's not like the team never passes it in the post. MWP gets more post ups than dwight sometimes. The ball will find you if you can position yourself and seal your man.

Don't mind Essential. This guy absolutely know nothing about basketball. All he does is trying to pretend to be a GM.

Stop, I disagree with him the most but he know's basketball, just from a whole different light.

To be honest, Mitch Kupchak feels and says the same thing about Dwight Howard, that Essential does. They both said they would not trade Dwight before the deadline, they're both overly confident Dwight is going to re-sign, and in the position he does re-sign - they both believe he's a franchise player to build around.

I 100% completely disagree with Mitch and Essential on those counts, I've been watching Dwight for a long time, and I never understood the hype. He can be a piece but not a franchise.

Don't be mad at Essential tho, your GM feels the exact same way he does. Essential and Mitch are both committed to Dwight, they're riding it until the wheels fall off. If Dwight resign's Mitch and Essential will be ecstatic, but honestly I don't know why.

There you go. Hes a piece, but not a franchise player.
A franchise player is someone you can give the ball and expect him to score.
When dwight scores in the post its surprising to me now. Honestly kwame brown esque, he gets the ball stripped so goddamn much.
Dwight isnt a franchise player. Hes a lesser tyson chandler tbh

I am not a Dwight Howard fan but I think people unfairly underestimate the effect that back surgery had on his game. Because of surgery, he is no longer the most freakishly athletic player on the floor like he once was but he has been playing with more energy recently and appears to have embraced the defender/rebounder role. He is still an elite defender but is exploited when he goes up against freakishly athletic players. I recently read that Rudy Fernandez is still dealing with his back even after having surgery 2-3 years ago, I'm not a doctor, but it's plausible to think that the way Howard plays now is the way he's going to play the rest of his career. Having said that, from a business perspective, I would be very wary in committing long term max money on a guy that is a defensive specialist with questionable health.

What foolishness is going on in that thread?

I haven't looked/posted in that thread lately and don't plan on doing so for the foreseeable future.

MJGreat...it's okay bro, I think we know how you feel

PMatix....you're a civil dude.
I admire your lack of sensitivity. I don't know how you post in there so calm without having any jimmies rustled. I know it's just a forum,
Not meant to be serious...but everyone had a breaking point with trolls and you never seem to show any signs of that.

Dunno how you do it but I gotta try and be more like you

Awwwww being a person who actually watches basketball, instead of looking at it like you do hurts your feelings???

We came back when he started protecting the rim, second he came out.. OKC went on the run again.. Undeniable fact.

You don't get 16 boards in a game doing nothing.. You just don't.

But sure let's not talk about Nash slow start.. Jamison airballing 3 pointers twice to stop runs.... Meeks not recognizing how to play KevMart's cuts... Blake getting burnt by Fisher, Jackson.. Clark doing whatever he did on defense including terrible help defense hedging 7-8 feet off of Durant.....

Let's just continue with your inpetious whining about his lack of intensity.. The reason we have gone 13-6 is a mixture of things.. Hanging out near the top of that list is Dwight's defense..

You want to hand over the keys to your franchise because he can protect the rim and grab 16 rebounds? You mean like a Tyson Chandler? An Omer Asik? A Larry Sanders? Is this what you think of Dwight?

You want to talk about Nash's slow start, let's also talk about his decent finish. Jamison or MWP's "momentum" breakers would not even have mattered if we had a ******g decent outing from Dwight, 6 points?! That's embarrassing, you have Kobe playing with one arm, Nash who is 39 trying to go up and down with this young team, you have Clark guarding every person on the other team, yet Dwight gets up 7 shots and only 6 points. Fisher outplayed him coming off the bench.

It's not whining its observation, this is coming from a person who has seen what a Shaq did with the Lakers, what a Prime Gasol did with the Lakers, what a Healthy Bynum did with the Lakers. This is Dwight's first year here, you'd think he'd want to get off on a good start. Yet he's looked abysmal, never have I seen a person get so close to the hoop yet miss so badly, airballs not even near the rim. NEVER have I seen a supposed all star pick up so many offensive fouls.

I'm a Laker fan first and foremost and I cheer for whatever helps us win, but this guy Mr. Dwight Howard is almost impossible to cheer for, he shows no offensive basketball skill, and it looks like he is indifferent about everything. I've praised him when he's done well, but I can also bash him when he plays like absolute **** and today he did. In the bigger picture this game is just 1 game it's not gonna make or break our playoff lives, I hope not at least, but it would have be a nice statement game. And when we needed one our "Future" of the Lakers played like complete and utter ****. If Pau played like this you would have had 9508598690586 trade scenarios for him already, including several for fast food items, you ain't going to criticize Dwight after this one?

Repped times one hundred if i could.
Thank you sir. Someone understands.

Well at least we know now that everything being said by us in our own thread is also read, screen capped, quoted, discussed, and laughed at in the NBA thread.

Proceed cautiously, if you care.
If not...keep on truckin. Just pointing it out in case some people wanna know.

Hi Lurkers. Nice of you to visit :hat
