I'm just sayin, if they make the playoffs then they probably DID start guarding people

The way I see it: we obviously aren't making the playoffs playing like this... so if we do make the playoffs we must be playing pretty good, bouncing back from this type of record

The NBA thread is funny. Even when the Lakers suck they're still the most talked about team. The hate is strong.

its kind of deserved , we put together a pile on team and it crashed on our face

what i never got was the hate from heat fans , mind you i stay in miami

so i can tell you first hand miami people truly HATE the  lakers , i been rocking

kobe jersey's (dont really rock jersey's anymore) since like 2000 down here

and nobody ever care , now people catch me with a laker hat or fitted and

they cracking jokes like they not a expansion team compared to us and weve

never played them in the finals

SOOO...hypothetically speaking...because of course I don't EXPECT this to happen...but If we do land in the lottery picks, do we keep a 1st rounder?

I know people have been posting information about the PHX pick...but i'm still confused. :{ :lol

Pau out tonight, damn that hit McGee gave him must of shaken some things up in his head.

Regardless, I don't think we need him tonight, but this is good he needs some rest with all the injuries he has. Dwight is a gametime decision, I doubt he plays, but the fact that he's a game time decision is good meaning the injury isn't to bad.

I'm looking at the standings, and I know every major analyst and sportscaster is saying playoff is a long shot, but we are like 5 games out with half the season to go.

I know nothing this team has done in the past 30 or so games has made us believe they can do this, but today is a big game, we need a win.

Let's go Lakers!!!!

Every analyst also says every game is a big game for the Lakers. We're passed big games, no matter who it is, we need a win. We have the Miami Heat this week. Bigger game then these next two games combined. No doubt the Heat wanna blow us out like the Thunder did, just to prove a point while we're still injured, old, and slow.

I'll gladly take wins in the next two games and a loss to Miami over two losses in the next game and a win in Miami. Bottom line, we need a win, the consensus in the locker room is the season starts today, so I hope they play like it, a easy win would be good for once.

I'm not the one who said the next game is a BIG game, so I pointed out which one would be a big game, in your terms. I would like to go undefeated but let's be real here, Lakers win against below average teams. We barely won against the Wizards.

I like to believe they'll turn it around. What happened a few weeks ago doesn't really matter anymore, a win against the Wizards or being blown out against the Thunder. These next few games are winnable, something that hasn't been the case for the last week. If we can pick up these two wins, and hopefully some of the confidence will translate over to Miami game, and a good showing there would be nice.

This Miami team can't rebound, Dwight and Pau (yes even Pau) should have a field day with offensive rebounds, and Miami hasn't been playing well either...

However i'm getting ahead of myself, lets pick up this win today...

GO LAKERS!

I still remember when kobe was "holding his tongue" and said "everyone should shut up" in the beginning of the season when fans voiced some of their concerns....

I freken want a reporter to bring this up to him after another defeat, I wanna see his priceless reaction... kobe is ma dude, but I'm certainly not one of those "kobe can do no wrong" fans... HELL NO

Dear Lakers on behalf of all of your fans ESPECIALLY US IN CLEVELAND please win tonight , or the slander at work will be too much to handle.

Dwight is starting

Nash/Kobe/MWP/Clark/Dwight starting lineup
I like that Clark is starting, he's actually been stepping up. And plays with more effort and heart than Pau does. It's not that I don't like Pau, but he's truly given us nothing this year. He doesn't fit in the Offense, the young more athletic Clark does.

With Dwight back that means they going to probably double him and leave Clark open, lets see if The Duke can consistently hit that jump shot. He isn't a stretch 4 per se, but hopefully he'll be more of one than Pau has been.

Let's Go LAKERS!
