You know how PS+ is only required for Strike missions and crucible matches, is it the same for xbox? Or you have to have Live to play?

I had noticed that around level 8 or so to do this. I got a damn rare hand cannon and I am not looking forward to leveling it up all the way. Every time I turn in something I just swap to it and do it that way
Heads up, when you go to claim your bounties and earn XP, swap out for weapons, armor, sub-class, if u wanna level those items up. Or switch out your main weapons if fully upgraded already, so those XP points dont go to waste.
There's no online with xbox without Live. Unless they changed things since I made the switch a couple months ago.

Those complaining about how the game "slows down" at 20 or saying what is the big deal about getting a certain piece or armor or a strange coin for a reward. Of course they don't do it in CoD, but everyone gets the same exact thing at the same time. There is no randomness to anything in those games. I play those games as well and prestige and max level in them as well and I like them so I am not slighting them in any way.
Were you guys expecting this to be Halo/CoD/BF/Titanfall type of game solely? It is a FPS MMORPG for a console. I can tell those who are used to game like that, those who are welcoming a change to a game play like this, and those who aren't based on their reactions in here.
Maybe it was because I played WoW for 5 years while in college and was used to being the max level you could be and still devoting more time than when I wasn't end level to the game . Yes, I was in one of those end-game raiding guilds where you had to be at the zone entrance at 7pm ready to go and stay on for hours at a time clearing it . You never level up in that sense, but you keep clearing it to get better gear, to allow to go to next tier raid zone so you can get even better gear which lies in that area.
Then an expansion comes out and the level cap will raise, new gear will come out, new zones to explore, maybe a new faction and new raids and stuff as well. It is one of those games you never truly "beat" but you keep building on to what else you can do.
You can PvP, just explore zones, do patrols, collect items to get your faction up, collect items to get your light attribute up and increase your level and the areas you can fight in, or just team up with lower level friends and help them get to level 20 and then they can run with you as well.
I just think some of you guys were looking for this to be something that it was never intended to be in the first place, and then some of you may just not be happy with it and knew/expected it to be exactly what it is.
repped for the TRU deals back in the day.Is there a NT raid group? Should hit 20 today or tomorrow. Trying to see what's good with the raids.

Yea I don't consider myself a WoW nerd, but I am a techie and I have always played games in large volumes. The fact that WoW you can never truly beat is its gift and curse. It will always have you coming back to play because there will always be something to do and make yourself "better". Then you will eventually get to the point when you will realize even if you bust your *** to get the best stuff, a DLC will come out and you will have to do it all over again and regular items will be just as comparable to what you have now.this. I always used to think guys who played wow were nerds but now I see where the enjoyment was. It was the co-op aspect and helping a team. Great stuff.
You can join the NT group on the bungie/destiny website and then set your clan to the PSN clan. I leave my fireteam open for anyone to join whenever they want to. I try to look through my friends and see who is on and if they have room, I will just jump into their game and help out or see what's good for the time.Is there a NT raid group? I loved going on raids and chopping it up with the people on them. We had our own ventrillo server and we would just be BS'in the whole night while we played. You really don't notice you are playing that long when you are talking with friends and just enjoying wrecking ***** with them the whole time.

Anyone is more than welcome to invite me if I am on or join my group if I have an open spot. I hate running games like this solo and will normally just PvP or farm for materials/light armor to turn in for faction rep. That and do strikes now just so I won't be solo, but doing them with randoms with no mics is :x
incorrect. i actually saw my first level 27 yesterday. dudes layout was incredible. 4 legendary slots and 2 exotic. his defense was like 1190 or somethingThe max lvl is 26 when u combine armor with light, im sure they will raise the lvls as time goes on
what u mean everything lit? are u at vanguard level 2 already? i cant buy any legendary items yetJust joined dead orbit, everything lit b
I'd say that or the repetitive missions. The only somewhat interesting parts of the story is the queen on the reef but that's only 2 cutscenes. I had no idea what was going on until I read a synopsis. What ya'll think of this, rings true?
Polygon writes that the most disappointing thing in Destiny is the story
As soon as you hit level 15 with one of your characters in Destiny, the second subclass unlocks for ALL of them. So if you get to 15 with your Hunter and then start a brand new Titan the next day, you can equip the Titan’s second subclass right off the bat from the inventory screen.
Let’s say it again, just to be completely clear: The first character of yours to reach level 15 unlocks the second subclasses for all of your other characters, whether or not you rolled them already.

Actually reading another article a little more, I might go a different route to get my Super and Melee cool downs reduced:Say you find an Encrypted Engram for a primary weapon at level 5, but you stash it in the Vault and promptly forget about it until you’re at level 15. If you go and get it identified then, you’ll find that it has stats appropriate to your current level. There’s something to be said for holding off on ID’ing anything prior to level 20 and just stashing it all in the Vault. It’ll be like Christmas (or whichever gift-giving holiday you celebrate) once you hit the endgame!

When you pick a faction, you must decide which two armor attributes you want to focus on.
Intellect: reduces the cooldown time of your Super
Discipline: reduces the cooldown time of your grenade
Strength: reduces the cooldown time of your melee special ability
Choosing which factions you want to work with is a simple combination of which abilities you use most and which faction interests you more. Other details such as weapon appearance/patterns and emblems could also be considered. There’s also a question of gun choice:
- Dead Orbit: DIS/STR (Melee and Grenades)
- Future War Cult: INT/DIS (Grenades and Super)
- New Monarchy: INT/STR (Super and Melee)
- Dead Orbit: Offers no pulse rifles, 1 Legendary of each other archetype
- FWC: Offers no auto rifles, 1 Legendary of each other archetype
- New Monarchy: Offers no pulse rifles, 1 Legendary of each other archetype
