i mean people keep saying in response to all these superstars teaming up to win the chip that even jordan had a hof teammate in pippen. but pippen was never a bonafide star until he was pair w/ the great one. would pippen be in the hof if he never played with 23?

Maybe you haven't witnessed the 93-94 season when Pippen played the entire season without Jordan and had the best year individually of his career, leading the Bulls to 55 Ws, just two shy of the previous season with Jordan. And the Bulls went out on a very questionable call:

While thats true...this was after years of day to day competition with MJ.  His work ethic and confidence was def a product of MJ.

There was a thread about a week or two ago on Pip, might wanna try digging it up. Interesting reads too.

Ya, people always seem to gloss over that 94 season. Pippen was an absolute phenom that year. Lead the Bulls in EVERY major statistical category...Points Rebounds, Assist, Blocks, Steals. Finished top 3 in MVP

The people who think he was just a by product of Jordan, and not a superstar in his own right are just casual fans who have no clue.

He's top 50 all time for a reason... Jordan didn't get him that spot on that list just by himself, Pippen was a great player. Granted anyone who plays 2nd to Jordan would have to hear this question, but that '94 season pretty much speaks for itself.

The reason Pippen wasn't a star before teaming with Jordan, is because before that he was in Central Arkansas. If he never played for the Bulls, he might be like every other 90's superstar, ringless, or maybe the Bulls don't become a dynasty without both Jordan and Pippen. Who knows.

Nah. That man would have been even better if he didn't get the Russel Westbrook treatment. The NBA is LUCKY Pippen's true wrath was only felt for a season. Pippen was the real thing. You could smell game dripping out his pores
