DISNEYLAND/DISNEYWORLD APPRECIATION!!! PUT IN UR ORDER FOR AN NT DISNEY SPIRIT JERSEY NOW!!!

Love me some Ballest Point :smokin . I know they sold to AB but a sip of Sculpin brings me back to California wherever I'm at. I really wanted to avoid Disneyland in the Summer but I don't think I can wait until the fall to go. It's been 1 1/2 years since we went and I'm having withdraws.

yo i think i asked before, but anyone else going on the Disney cruise May 4?

From SD? about 2 weeks out.

also for those who care for some foodporn, it's a food option nearby disneyland

went back to The Ranch last night and as @naughty suggested try the delmonico and that steak was insanely divine

started out with the quail appetizer and that was great, perfectly cooked, not greasy for it being deep fried and the jam sauce was amazing, it's set a top a corn and bacon mix with tiny potatoes that was perfect with the quail

this thing was bigger than before, it's pretty much the more refined and less fatty cowboy/tomahawk i posted about before
i don't know how the chef did it, perfectly medium rare throughout, like it's not rare in the middle and then overcooked outside, it's just perfectly pink all the way
they managed to cook it perfectly and still have it sit so the juices doesn't pours out before cutting
the sauce underneath the steak was great, everything was just super good
if i had one complaint it's that the server suggested the fries but it wasn't necessary, i also don't like wedge cut fries so that might have played into it, it was seasoned well and the sauce was good with a little kick but i hardly touched it

i wanted to try their desert milky way with a twist but i had to tap out after finishing that steak, it was for two but i had most of it

the place is pricey but it's great, ambiance is nice and service is top notch, i highly recommend it maybe even just for the special occasions

also went to Morton on saturday and the steak was alright but the Ranch is better hands down, i was able to have desert there though and it was good
lobster mac & cheese with the steak was very good too

Guests can soon explore Disneyland Resort and Walt Disney World Resort in a whole new way using the all-new Play Disney Parks app! Coming this summer on iOS and Android, guests can play in the parks like never before using this soon-to-launch mobile app to access exclusive experiences at both locations through activities that interact with the surrounding environment. The app will be free to download.

With the touch of a button, wait time turns into play time with family and friends at certain locations. And the more you explore in Disney parks, the more there is to discover on the app. This is just the latest way we are making a visit to our parks even more fun and memorable in new and innovative ways.

Since the launch of My Disney Experience at Walt Disney World Resort in 2013, we continue to reinvent digital offerings at our parks around the world. The My Disney Experience app, our guests’ go-to vacation companion, has continued to evolve – including the Get Directions feature, Online Check-In and the recently launched Digital Key. Guests are also loving the Disneyland App, Disney MaxPass and soon mobile order at Disneyland Resort – currently available at Walt Disney World – and we’re excited to bring this latest innovation to the parks!

We can’t wait to share with you everything this first-of-its-kind Disney app has to offer. Keep your eyes on the Disney Parks Blog as we get closer to launch this summer.

Salt & Straw Is Opening a Scoop Shop at Disneyland

Say what you want about giant turkey legs. When it comes to the food at Disneyland and Disney World, the options these days are extensive. Between all the churros you could ever want to Black Tap Milkshakes and an upcoming on-site brewery from Ballast Point, there are more choices than Disney fans can probably make room for amidst the rides and the lines. And now, the Disneyland Resort is getting one of the country’s most inventive and thoughtful ice cream shops. Salt & Straw will open a shop at Downtown Disney as early as this fall.

For the seven-year-old company that makes everything from scratch—from the ice cream base, which they churn from locally sourced cream in small, five- to 10-gallon batches, down to the almond brittle in their Almond Brittle with Salted Ganache—this is a big deal. (They take such care in making everything by hand, they even made the gummy worms featured in Gummy Worm Surprise Sorbet, one of their past flavors.)

And you can expect the same level of craftsmanship and care at the Disneyland location.

"Retaining our own voice in terms of the ingredients we use and the tweaks that we make is very important," says Kim Malek, co-founder and CEO of Salt & Straw. She and her cousin Tyler Malek, co-founder and head ice cream maker, aren't going to let go of what sets their company apart: "The love that goes into every batch," as Tyler, who is currently working on a Salt & Straw cookbook with Francis Lam for the spring of 2019, puts it.

Beyond hand-crafting each item that goes into the flavors, they're also going to continue developing seasonal, locally-sourced menus for the Disneyland location like they do for every scoop shop. Having always celebrated local ingredients, they see it as a bonus that they'll be able to introduce SoCal ingredients to the tourists who come to Disneyland from all over the world. Last spring, for example, they developed an incredible Wasabi Flowers and Green Apple Sorbet with Oregon-grown wasabi, not something you see every day. At the new location, expect ingredients quintessential to Southern California.

Though Tyler hasn't nailed down the new flavors debuting at the shop quite yet, he knows he'll offer some of the classics. Think chocolate chip cookie dough made with Jacobson's sea salt, ribbons of fudge and a batter made with brewer's malt. He'll also develop a range of flavors exclusive to Disneyland.

"It's such a fabric of the United States," Kim says of Disneyland. “We are leaning into what you would crave in that environment, so you can expect our take on the classic Americana menu."

Look no further than Salt & Straw's current seasonal menu project to rest assured their Disneyland flavors will stand up to the whimsical spirit of Disney itself. For the month of April, they're featuring flavors invented students from elementary schools near each shop. Who else would have dreamed up "Gummy Wwummy" sorbet, Pots of Gold and Rainbows or Lots a Nachos? Fifteen percent of the proceeds go back to the PTA at the given school.

Next month, the theme is May flowers and June will see chef-driven menus from restaurants in each of the cities where Salt & Straw is located: expect flavors from the likes of Traci Des Jardins and Sarah Kramer. July will focus on berries and August will be inspired by local farmers markets.

i don't like popcorn much so i cringe just reading that off the menu  I forget what it is but i have tried some popcorn flavored desert before and it was terrible so i always try to stay away from it as much possible

Disneyland to host second 'Star Wars' late-night event after first sold out

Disneyland just gave "Star Wars" fans a new reason to visit the theme park. The park is adding an additional Star Wars-themed "After Dark" celebration in May after the first sold out.

The park had already set aside its first celebration for May 3, one day ahead of "May the Fourth," otherwise known to fans as "Star Wars Day."

Disneyland has now added an additional date on May 9 due to popular demand.

The "After Dark" celebration offers attendees after-hours access to the park and movie-related entertainment, including a "galactic" dance party, character encounters and photo opportunities.

The event starts at 9 p.m. and runs until 1 a.m., but people can access the park beginning at 6 p.m. the day of the event.

People attending are encouraged to come dressed in their favorite "Star Wars" clothes, and can be the first to buy pins from the upcoming film, "Solo: A Star Wars Story," coming out May 25.

A limited amount of tickets for the May 9 event go on sale May 1. Pricing and details are available at Disneyland.com.

Just spent the day at DisneyLand Paris.

Absolutely gorgeous and huge! The Finding Nemo "Crush's Coaster" ride is still under construction. HyperSpace Mountain ride was crazy! Did "Star wars: The Adventures Continues (Flight Simulator). The AeroSmith Ride was pretty fun as well it was just a little short. Did that Buzzlightyear shoot em' game. Went on the Temple de Peril (Indiana Jones). Missed out on the Big Thunder Mountain and the Tower of Terror. Lines were too crazy. 65+ minute wait. I shoulda' got some more souvenirs but i wanted mickey ears with no wizard hat. They didnt have any! Smh. All the stuff is overpriced but if you got the extra cash definitely indulge in the full experience! Definitely top 5 day of my life. I love DisneyLand forever!

Put walt on the list

The charge: Walt Disney was racist.
The evidence: These charges stem primarily from the use of racial stereotypes in Disney movies from the 40s: Dumbo's black crows; Fantasia's black servant centaurette; and Song of the South, a movie so offensive that the Disney company will no longer let it be seen in public. Then there is Walt Disney's own behavior: Gabler cites a meeting in which Disney referred to the Snow White dwarves as a "****** pile" and another in which he used the term "pickaninny." The book notes that Disney anticipated the Song of the South controversy and attempted to make it less racist with a rewrite and meeting with the NAACP. The meeting never happened, and the movie was released anyway. There was also some controversy about the company's unwillingness to hire minorities at Disneyland.

Believability: Those are certainly not flattering facts, but they are facts.

This is known
I think most folks know he was a racist
I see a lot of minority’s working in Disneyland
Maybe back then there was unwillingness
But now
Not so much
Disney bout that $$$
Whatever racist stuff or agenda they had
Is now over taken by their greed
They want as little controversy as possible
To maximize their profits from everyone
