I pretty much stopped ordering from apps simply because I realized I'm paying more money for food that's gonna be cold no matter what

Rarely use food delivery apps, but Uber eats had a 50% off code last week. The total (including tip) was cheaper than going down the street to pick it up

Beginning of the pandemic it was a gold mine. Worked out to $50/hr for me after taking out expenses. Used to run it during the lunch rush. Easy money.

The time of Uberx/ubereats/door dash being profitable/worth it is long gone.

I do it on rare occasion when I smoke and can’t drive to get it. But regularly? Nahhhh

I order Doordash/Ubereats like twice a week. I use gift cards that are 10-15% off and look for deals. It usually doesn't cost that much more than to buy at the restaurant. Sometimes it's even cheaper.

But most importantly, I value the time that I save. I hate throwing away 30+ mins just to grab food. Used to do it all the time when I was younger though.

Yea I don't know why people order fast food with these apps. Especially fries.

When I pick up my own fries there's basically a 5 minute window before it starts to get cold unless it's fresh out the fryer then it's 10 minutes
