yea my parents are military
i jus figured out you take 2 away from the 2nd number

1300 = 1

1600 = 4

and jus memorized 2000 and 2100 and etc

In the US it's not common knowledge. Most places it is though. But to answer your question, I can. For me I dont see it as military time its just a thing that all people should know (like the rest of the world).

I know it, but I wouldn't say its common knowledge. One of my boys has all his stuff set to military, idk why. Hes from Spain nhe says that's how they do it over there..

Not to sound douche-like, but I swear this was taught in 4th grade...Besides, it's really not difficult to figure out.

Word...just subtract 1200 if you see a weird number.

1300-1200= 1 pm
1700-1200= 5 pm
2300-1200= 11 pm.

That's how I always got it.

Nothing really... other than the fact that you dont have to say "am" or "pm"
