does anyone here frequently rock nice suits, with no tie? I'm talking white dress shirt, or button down oxford, with the top button fastened all the way. Cufflinks, pocket square, a nice spread collar all buttoned up. Basically everything on point except sans tie.

I've started doing this. recently rocked a three piece tweed suit , no tie, and got a lot of compliments. Just wondering if this is something yall do.

I notice when cats dont rock ties with suits, the rest of their outfit is sloppy, and the shirt has 3 buttons undone and ish.

the 2 button rule is the way to go if your not ganna rock a tie let your neck breathe and unbutton the top 2 looks way more suave/casual

looks awkward if youre ganna suit up and go all out and button it up and no tie (thats some cholo status style)

What occasion calls for this?

I personally do not like the look of a suit with the shirt buttoned to the top without a tie.. It's seemingly a trend in the industry right now. I've seen it pulled off, just not for me personally

I have a huge neck, man. I only rock ties for truly formal occasions, otherwise, this is me 80% of the time.

Nah i can't front.

I do the 2-3 button thing....if i'm going out to a club/lounge or whatever. I'm undeniable with the savagery those nights.

But if it's like a semi formal dinner type thing, just one button, sans tie.

feels so restricted

even as a kid i just didnt like ties, wedding i went to recently i did the same look as tim

I refuse to wear a tie, and to be quite frank, short of a wedding I can't think of any occasion that would call for one. Actually I'll probably wear a tie for NYE since a 3-piece without a tie looks very stupid.

Anyone know where to find some glasses similar/same style as these or know if it's a certain style?

I'm sorry but this cant look good

button down oxford buttoned all the way w/o tie looks silly

I guess a point collar buttoned all the way might be ok for casual if the collars are short/small enough but for that to work, the collar is probably not suitable for a more formal wear. Spread collars dont work with this buttoned up

I don't see the point of cufflinks without ties either. It's one thing if you go in to work with tie and cuff links and then take off tie during middle of the day but i dont see the point of cufflinks without ties

not a fan of 3 p without tie either

if the outfit is sloppy when they dont rock a tie, then the outfit is probably sloppy when they're rocking a tie

Dammit Uniqlo! I'm trying to buy 10 pairs of socks for $1 each but the site's acting up... :(

are wingtips too much for a job interview? I was thinking of wearing them with a navy suit.

ColeHaan.com has extra 40% off with the code CYBER.

Lunargrands are on sale for $160 and the combat boots are $195, with the code the boots becomes ~$130 shipped.
