Dressing Better Vol 2.0

Heads up UO has some lettermans for cheap. Went to International plaza (tampa) yesterday & they were 39.99. Not the best quality but nice for the price.

if it't those hawkings mcgill ones, the quality on those is horrible. color transfers like crazy on the sleeves. definitely not even worth the $40

Appreciate the feedback. Would you guys recommend me using the same tailor or trying someone new? It seemed pretty difficult to explain what I wanted done to the last lady I went to. But I'm thinking she may cut me a better deal since she didn't get it right the first time.
Honestly, I would look at a different one. A lot of them are old school and do not understand the fitted look. I bought a pair of trousers from Nordstrom, and they have in house tailors and offer free jobs that are simple, like hem. I just opted to pay $9 with my tailor to have her do them to my liking instead of arguing with Nordstrom's tailor. The last time I tried them out, they wanted to give me an inch of break even though I told that I didn't want it :lol

I wanted to go into L.A. to take some cool environment pictures...got stuck in traffic, busted a U-turn and grabbed a red bean donut on the way home, and call it a trip.

Today: weather was in the low to mid 70s Fahrenheit

Lollll

Skeezy, your last paragraph is exactly what I'm suggesting.

Wj4, you can have a group blog on Tumblr. Can't remember where you guys are geographically, but we can create a schedule then it's on the onus of the individual to keep up or queue their posts.

Maybe have a vote for who should be on the team? 6 regulars? I think you're being humble wj4, and i'll say you're definitely a first entry ballot lol. There's a few obvious others, but let the people decide.

Content wise, maybe it's the art of shopping? Or the Seam Team's take on transitioning to the Gentleman's lifestyle from College to progressing into Careers or being fitted for a wedding. A take on coming of age lol. The idea of it doesn't hurt to be overdressed than underdressed.
I didn't know there was an option for group blog...that sounds awesome. I'll research more into it later today. Geographically wise, I think we're all spread out. A few on the West, several in the South, and others in the NorthEast. The only region I'm not certain is the MidWest.

Thanks for the kind word, fellas. If I post on the group blog, I'm not even sure how it will differ from the stuff I write on my own blog :lol

Here's my 2 cents:

Whether or not I make it onto the team is fine.

Team needs to be kept at a low level, maybe 10 posters?

Posters need to be regulars who can post up interesting pictures and articles. If we let 100 people post, it will be exactly like this thread but on the Tumblr platform.

Posters need to be somewhat knowledgable to be able to answer questions.

The two members that would be well for the team I think are Adrian and Bama. Given the average age of an nter, Adrian is about to finish college and Bama just got out a couple of years ago.

If this does go through, we need to maintain composure as the floodgate will be opened. I'm sure we will get a lot of troll questions just like there are troll posters here every now and then. We should be like JKissi and his team and focus on the positive aspects.

i'd love to join.. I definitely have the knowledge and skill to do it, i could cover the New England region as well.

I do think we should keep it on here for awhile though... I think we're rushing this but it should definitely be done.

I like this idea A LOT. and I agree with Adrian that you MUST be part of the group. I am personally thinking:

Wis (career perspective and mid 20s to late 20s perspective)
Adrian (the college perspective)
Carlin (Bama) (like you said a couple years out of school)
UNKNWN (frequent poster with great fits and knowledge)
ksteezy (mid 20s to late 20s and awesome photographer)
RFX (a combination of everything already mentioned plus brings a different style perspective to DB)
And I personally would like to be part of it (career perspective and mid 20s to late 20s perspective)

All this is in addition to the fact that everyone on this list in my opinion, is a frequent poster is knowledgeable and I think we have cover a lot of the regions.

Lastly Wis, I'm going to be in LA from the 16 to the 22nd, want to meet up? The Grove would work for me!

Interesting ideas from everyone, I will definitely contribute in any way I can. I have no blogging experience though lol. We need Wisith for sure

That sounds like a cool idea if you guys are able to work out all the logistics of it, I'd definitely support it...this thread (when its positive) is a great resource even just seeing how other people wear things that I personally,or anyone really may have never thought to try out

It's not bad in the overall fit in the body which you're concerned about from what I can tell in one pic but the sleeves are too short. Maybe it's the angle or you have narrow hips but that slight billowing might happen with most shirts unless you have them taken in or darted.

If those are jeans your belt is ok, but if they are dress pants you need dressier belt. I can't tell, pic is too dark.

If you'r worried about puffiness (which isn't that bad), try a cardigan or jacket, it will also break up the visual effect of too much plaid. A longer shirt would also help.

Nicely done. No puffiness, man. Slim fitting, but not tight. What kind of trousers are those, chinos? If so, the belt is also perfectly fine.

Thanks for the offer, my man. Alas, I think there's only several of us here in L.A. I'm always down for a meet up nonetheless though!

Let me know, Serg! I have nothing planned for those dates. Weekends would work with me, and the Grove is my stomping ground, I'm there almost on a weekly basis.

I definitely like the vibe of this thread. What about me? Lol. I can post the deals/sales right? Lol
Dude, we forgot about Jason! haha.

I don't get what's happening. Are you guys forming an elitist super team?

We are thinking about making a group blog with different personnel on the panel.

Then we will send out decoder rings so we can unite to form Voltron :lol

Also, I saw a dude earlier walking around with a leather jacket, semi skinny jeans and a pair of Nike sneakers...it looks like a non-retro basketball type. To my surprise, it worked well, it was a high top that was kind of out there like the McFlys.

I've been told that I'm a pretty good writer, but I don't know much about fashion outside of the "basics."

If you guys decide to add a section for things outside of fashion like travel, food, lifestyle, etc, I am totally down to contribute as a writer for Los Angeles.

:D

Sounds good Wis! I'll PM you actually.

Definitely don't know how I forgot to include you.

waist of the shirt looks fine, but the sleeves definitely seem short.
