Dressing Better Vol 2.0

My girl's friend from home is getting married this july...and I'm gonna need a summer suit. You guys think I should I just go with a khaki one or more of a lighit-ish blue/cotton version like this one from Jcrew factory:

or
700

I'm not looking to spend a ton on it since I won't be wearing the suit much after this maybe 1-2 times a summer from here on out so I'm trying to stick with cheaper options fwiw.

Hey quick question about these Uniqlo x bastian polos. 1. Are they quickstrike (should I expect a restock on their website, and 2. Would anyone be in NYC be willing to pick up one or two for me? I'll pay you for your time/effort

We kinda had this debate when I posted the light blue DB suit from suit supply but I think I may go with the khaki if I were you. It's more versatile and you'll have more options in what to rock with it

Interview was a bust. They were looking for someone with a completely different background. Told them I was open to learning if given the chance and they seemed uninterested.
Oh well on to the next one.

Don't worry, when a door closes a window opens.

What I wore to my summer internship at the Indiana Court of Appeals. According to my judge, whom I clerk for, I'm way over dressed (he wears jeans and a t-shirt under his robe). And the women in my office wear gym shoes with long skirts; it's absolutely terrible lol. But I'll be damb if I'm not in a jacket and tie everyday!!

Do you man, always better to be overdressed than underdressed. Great fit by the way!

unDS these for my first limo ride and to escort these ladies about town for a Gatsby theme party:

If that khaki one is also from JCF I highly recommend trying it on first if you can. I tried it on at the store and the fit was pretty bad. Very substantial shoulder pads and boxy fit (the jacket just did not sit well on my shoulders), albeit only being $150 for the jacket and pants during the sale.

dem uniqlo x bastian joints sold out online with the quickness :smh:

I heard no restocks on the Uniqlo polos

Yeaaa...that hurt my feelings. Anybody willing to pick up a the yellow/blue striped joint in store for me?

Nah, they are restocking online on Wednesday.

Michael Bastian responded to one of my tweets on Monday and mentioned this, unless it was a fake account lol

@mbastiannyc to me: "Check back on-line wednesday! They are re-stocking!"

:nerd:

Congrats on the internship. I am starting a district court a little later in the summer. I was wondering what to wear, thought a jacket might be a bit much, but I just got the confidence to pull it off lol. Recently picked up a cotton jacket from Uniqlo, I have an oxford and a peacoat from them and plan on getting a few more pieces this summer.

Whats you take on colors for a court room clerk? Should I keep it basic with splashes of patterns and bold colors, or should I go all out and throw on purple chinos and the like?

My bro, you can never have enough interviews. I see them as sparring sessions. You get to be more fluid with each one. Keep applying and reach for the sky.

it's a court setting. you should be very conservative.

I see what you are trying to do, but I think you slightly missed the mark. The jacket seems a little tight as you can see the bunching around the arms and the pulling of the buttons. Also you should have done a Bowtie with oxfords or no tie with an unbuttoned jacket and the loafers. It looks like you went to the mall with the intention to purchase all of this together. It doesn't look natural.
