The Xbox/PS4 banter is just fun jabs, both consoles have highlights, some more than the other. Some highlights for the near future, some are coming when Dr Dre drop Detox. Overall both sides seem happy with yesterday presentations so overall we all won!

Final Fantasy VII is dominating the E3 YouTube battle

If YouTube viewer numbers are the barometer of E3 excitement, then it’s Final Fantasy VII that has stolen the show.

The game’s trailer on the PlayStation channel has at the time of publication been viewed nearly 2.25m times. That’s around three times the amount of its nearest rival The Last Guardian – again, a Sony title.

In fact, when looking at the E3 videos posted on the PlayStation and Xbox channels and measuring their total views until now, seven of the Top Ten are PlayStation videos. The highest ranking Xbox video is its Elite Controller preview in third place with 551,264 views.

The most Xbox game video so far is the Gears of War 4 gameplay preview, whose 283,242 views rank it just ninth in the Top 32.

Note that Xbox’s videos have been online for around eight and a half hours longer than the PlayStation ones due to the press conference timings.
