Looked like he had some mid-corner oversteer... tried to correct it... then the car snapped straight and went head-on, straight into the wall.  

Recovery's gonna take a long time.

The race is next Sunday. Same time I'm guessing.

I have no idea what the rules, strategies, etc are so I'll be going in as a rookie too. The ALO-effect has definitely done more for Indy than F1!

I don't want to say anything against the accomplishment of Alonso (p5 is a great), but Takuma Sato is only one position behind him. So the driver field might not be "that strong"

Hard to judge cuz racing ovals is a different set of skills.  Nonetheless, still massively impressed by all those guys running at those speeds... especially after seeing Bourdais crash like that.
