Fast and Furious Thread: Hobbs and Shaw Spin Off 2019 - Tyrese career ending injury

Movie was buns. They’re all super beings at this point. It’s reached the walking dead status of “just die already”. Can’t even call this action just green screen cgi. I feel like the actors came in and gave them just a day to make whatever happen and left no matter what. By any standard the movie was just parody. Not in an entertaining sense either. This is WW2 bad

SPOILERS AHEAD

I WATCHED this dude dom pull down 2 big *** chains and collapse a whole concrete hideout 🤣🤣🤣

I was like bruh, from street racer dom to Superman dom

i facepalmed through half the movie
When they launched off in space, crashed into a satellite 📡 and nothing happened to them I could hear people in the theater laughing lmao
They really made these dudes super soldiers now

Let’s not talk about the fact that these street racers from Los Angeles apparently now can fight like seal team 6 special forces mofos 🤣🤣🤦🏻‍♂️🤦🏻‍♂️

When they drove up the falling rickety ladder bridge I put my hands up in disgust, gotta be the first time i've done that with these movies. Only a few chuckles in the theater at some Luda and Tyrese moments so they should probably do that, make a grounded spinoff of those two.

I was laughing that whole space mission though it was so absurd, if that was the one big ridiculous thing it could have been ok but there was so much leading up to it.

Part Of The Disappointment In This Franchise Is All Of The Characters Have Lost Their Charisma And Are Just Flat And Boring.

It's Weird Tyrese And Luda Characters Are The Only Characters With Personality At This Point.

Tyrese’s character and hijinks are straight out of a Space Jam type movie:lol

But seriously, they showed Han die in three different movies, 4 if you count this one, and their explanation for him being alive was that he was never even in the car and was always watching from some random building? Did Justin Lin even remember Tokyo Drift?:lol

Yeah, that’s beyond lazy writing lol. Essentially, 2 things explain it

1. Han controls time

2.There is no time

🤷🏽‍♂️

Movie wasn’t as bad as y’all were saying. It exceeded my very low expectations.

These ******* really had a car in space tho :smh:

I thought I would like the 4th wall breaking stuff but if they continually keep going "this is stupid right?" at some point you're gonna get taken out of it and go "**** know what? You're right".

Also need a pair of them Vin Diesel boots, joints look like they'll make anyone look over 6 ft easy.

I just came back from Far Fetched 9.

At this point, the series sorts of Outdoes Everything Michael Bay!

The story was paper thin. But if you go in looking for action, some humor, some cars and the out of the way hijinks, you’ll be pleased. Perfect movie for summer.

Tyrese breaking the fourth wall. Wow. I was like this is insulting.

Lin definitely takes the best care out of the directors they’ve had. He just had a ridiculously vapid story.

It was cool how they more integrated the Tokyo Drift characters more.

I want to be more critical but after COVID and just analyzing the quality of a lot of movies that pop up on Netflix, etc. Maybe 40% of movies are truly competent and entertaining while the other 60% are cash grabs and less quality. Just look at all the movies WB had thrown on HBO Max.

They need to just make the next one be a Back to the future crossover already. Don’t even need Doc or Marty just the Delorean.

They apparently lost the OG writer form 2F2F all the way to 8 hence the script being what it is.

John Cena lacks the Rock's charisma and needs to lay off the HGH and/or steroids as he looks comical - probably was the worst choice to be Dom's brother. :smh: :smh: :smh:

Cena has charisma. He was good in Ferdinand, Bumblebee, and that one romance comedy with Lebron.

Its the writing. It’s so poor that it doesn’t truly inject characterization for everyone except for Ludacris and Tyrese.

But, we have at least two more movies in the Franchise so hopefully better writing and a better villain next time.

^^^Lucas Black definitely looks older than the high school student he’s supposed to be. And that accent is terrible.

Disagree, he was good in Blockers and also Trainwreck. It's night and day from The Marine.

I think it was just this role and how it's written.
