Fast and Furious Thread: Hobbs and Shaw Spin Off 2019 - Tyrese career ending injury

So after watching this, we can all agree they are basically superheroes right ?

DOMINIC TORETTO:ABILITIES
-Superhuman strength and stamina
-Immortality
-High resistance to injury
-Advanced hand to hand combat
-mass endurance
-Professional Driver
-Professional weapons specialist
You forgot one:

-Ability to keep his white v-neck shirt crispy white at all times

 my girl was same thing the same in the theatre. Like this dude is pulling Batman stunts, but his white V and thermal are never even creased or dirty

just got out of the movie. avoided this thread for the last couple days, 288 posts to catch up on. ended up watching it at a crappy local theater because i had to, will watch again in 4DX next weekend

  at Dominic Toretto special abilities. between the OG post and the add-ons, pretty much covered it all.

Loved it. I felt there was a lot going on in this one, kind of moved too fast or crammed too much story in it. But I could handle it for a F&F movie.

The spinning camera during fights was a little dizzying

VIN LIFTED A CAR. CALLED IT :pimp:

Eskrima/kali :pimp:

I held it in as much as I could at the end but the very last scene got me especially when Brian/"Paul" takes the off-ramp into the horizon :frown: :frown: :frown: :frown: couldnt hold it in no more :frown: :frown: .the Wiz song fit perfectly .

random thoughts:
Hobbs' daughter looked like the girl from the Game Plan

I would've assumed Owen Shaw was dead, dude has Toretto-like endurance

Brian with the "too slow" to Jaa at the end GOT EM

THEY JUMPED TWO BUILDINGS, NOT JUST ONE. TWO BUILDINGS

drove down a damn mountain

you could tell Lucas Black was a little older  but I feel like he shouldve been in the movie more

I'm curious to see who Kurt Russell really is/how he fits in/how he plays out. Good basis for sequels IMO

it all started with a sandwich... :pimp: :pimp:

edit: still catching up, BigJ mentioned it but I liked that in 5 and 6 they had a big crew/family. 5 only doesnt feel right

other posters shared their stories so heres mine: I was about 17, still in HS just got my license living in SoCal when TFaTF came out. perfect storm  I had a celica back then I'd press imaginary buttons on my steering wheel and push my head back  but man not sure how but i've been all over this franchise since then :pimp:

Last, Los Angeles :pimp:

Am I the only one who feels like they used his death as suspense in the movie? They were giving hints like he was gonna die in the movie with the phone call to mia. Their were so many chances after that phone call that he had a chance to be killed.

And if they do make more they gotta take Mia out the movie as well. Can't have her in it but not have Brian.

Imax? Not really an "Imax type movie" that benefits from Imax greatly like say Transformers but Imax makes any movie better with the bigger screen and better sounds regardless.

Furious 7 Review

With spoilers, so read only after you have viewed the film for yourself.
So, at Race Wars, when they completely wasted my time show Iggy for 3 seconds to sound and look absurd, the chick that started the race, the one that they took the camera up, and thru her, multiple times, like, we pretty much gave ol girl a cleansing we was so high up in that. That was a smidge strange. They always use the bikini girls for the races and what not, we’ve come to expect that, but I didn’t know we would all become gynecologists for this one. Remember the camera angles they used to use to show the fuel traveling thru the cars? I thought we were gonna run up thru her like that for a second, show her kidney’s, travel on up thru the lungs, heartbeat, larynx, and then out her mouth back into the view of the cars.

soooo......

was the scene of Brian running up the bus and Letty catching him on a drift the most outreagous Fast shenanigan yet?

up until now, it was the part in FAST6 where Torreto caught Letty as she flew through the air and landed on top of a car like nothing ever happened

not even sure if srs but i'll answer....

we spend $200 on sneakers, of all things, like it's nothing ..... but cant spend an extra $5 on a movie ticket?

wut lol

You might spend $200 on sneakers, I don't and if I do it's maybe once a year

Ya'll don't even care about putting **** in spoilers anymore.  I'm just glad I've seen the movie before ever entering this thread.

point is.... sneaker people like us spend a lot on something as simple as shoes -- and the prices keep going up

so acting like an extra $5 to see a movie, once a year, on a super sized screen is just funny to me... that's all... not a big deal

looked up the girl who started Letty's race at Race Wars....

and....

she looked a lot better in the movie

Ramsey tho .....

If Paul Walker had been alive for the whole movie, this would've been been the best movie of the series.

It was obvious where the gaps are where he was dead so that was distracting

That ending was the best ending of the series for me. I want them to stop making fast furious movies asap. Let it end now. But that's unlikely.
