FedEx help vol. initiated?

So this is really my first time dealing with Fedex, I usually get my stuff shipped by USPS or UPS.
I know some of you guys have probably received packages from FedEx.

So the seller shipped out on the 24th, using 2 day shipping. The shipment was said to have "initiated" and would have a scheduled delivery on the 26th. However, it's the 28th now, and my package has still not arrived, and the package is still on "initiated".

Any ideas?

I ship out fedex all of the time.  Usually it means that he printed a lable from home and that initiates the shipping info.  He either dropped the package off late of its held up at the fedex office/store where it was dropped off at.

"initiated" means he created the fedex slip and THATS IT. It was not dropped off.

If it was dropped off it would have been updated already. The 24th was a Tuesday.

Source: I create fedex slips everyday and track them for our business units.
