one of my boys is scrambling right now.  he's not sure what to do.  he plays online poker for a living and kept most of his bankroll in his accounts.  he treated it like a regular job and only withdrew enough each month to cover his expenses.  he's not a "big time" player by any stretch, more of a daily grinder, but he's got almost 6 figures amongst his accounts that he's not sure he can get out.

I would imagine the same thing that happens if the police raid an illegal poker club, which means you chalk that up as a loss

i know the government likes to steal from hardworking americans to help balance their budget and reduce the national deficit, but usually they are a bit more subtle than this.  what a sham.

Why not treat your bankroll like many treat Paypal> They aren't a bank. They aren't sanctioned. So why is your money in those places? I withdraw from paypal right away, yet some have paypal debit cards? okayyyy

You can't work without your tools, money is our tool.

How would we play if we don't have money on the site?

They won't come out of this the same. The Casino's are heavily involved in this.
Either they will be forced to partner up with MGM, Wynn, etc. or they will be forced to accept regulations which essentially divvy up the US market to individual interests.

Online poker won't disappear.

According to the DOJ report it appears that the DOJ and FBI have access to internal documents of, at least, PS.
If/When you do get your money back (I suspect you will), you may have bigger problems; tax implications. They will prob leave the smaller fish alone but they will go after the bigger winners, especially if they've got access to the internal databases.
