Your not alone man. Can not wait for a new Kingdom Heart though, sad that it is not going to be for a while, only reason I bought a PS2 was for this game.

I've tried getting into it like last year. I bought VII, X, and XIII
Games are too linear for me...at least XIII is, haven't really gotten into the other two too much yet

XIII is an anomaly in the linear respect. No other FF is like that.

XIII is the most linear Final Fantasy ever made.
X is a bit better, but not by much.
VII is free reign once you leave Midgar.
I strongly recommend Final Fantasy IX. Graphics aren't toooo dated, HUGE amount of story and sidequests, and the storyline is so well done. The cast of characters as a whole is the best of any game in the series, IMO.
Also, any fans of third person shooters, scoop up Dirge of Cerberus: Final Fanatsy VII.

I dont disagree that is was an amazing game.
Just a small difference of opinion on HOW amazing, I guess.
Kain and Cecil in IV though? Maaaan. Hell, Zidane, Vivi, and Steiner > entire X roster in terms of likability.

My problem with X is the ending it's the worst ending in any FF. No one on this board will agree with me but X-2 > X

never heard anyone say this. I played the hell out of X-2 but compared to X it was crap. The sole fact they replaced Blitzball with some nonsense variant version of it automatically puts it below X.
