), but are there any turn by turn GPS apps on in the App store? That's the only functionality I see out of this.....buy 3G version, buy 3rd party turn by turn app(which most suck anyway) =Huge GPS screen. and thats about it..
 
Like what Jhenor29 said, that's pretty dumb of them to use the wi-fi version, and not wait the extra weeks for the 3G.

seems like car companies can get these installed and have a bunch of their car info integrated into the ipad. along with the radio, a/c and heat buttons.. Everything eventually could be intergrated through that screen
 
Considering how much a tiny aftermarket in-dash nav unit would run you, this is a pretty sick idea.

Yea, onStar, XM, etc. I just don't think that's good for his car. he should have had it on a removable mount were it slides down in that space and could be popped right out as soon as he got out the wheel.  Somebody is watchin on youtube waitin to pounce
