Its inflation, im guessing nike knows weatherman foams would sell at 250? No they just raised prices cause its more costly to make em now, and they wanna continue to make the same profit

Smh, this inflation argument again. Every two months people gotta explain this same thing to someone.

IT IS NOT INFLATION.

You are not buying the same product that released in 1997. The are using cheaper material, with cheaper relative labor, and the cost per pair to produce one shoe has shrunk. They made up the money they have lost on inflation, margins are much better

The fact the raised the price just because they added a "PRM" tag to Foams should be a dead giveaway it in not inflation.

The price of labor is going up in china every year wether if its 5 cents more for the laborer or less its still going up

Nike just raising prices to coincide with that bump

Smh. Dude stop.

Please elaborate, i can only agree with you that they use cheaper materials but the cost of labor is always rising

The latter part of this statement is what i cant agree with, they raise prices cause of inflation/greed but afterall it is Inflation

Regardless idk why we are even arguing about this, I havent bought foams in years, nor would i pay retail for these foams releasing

I said the cost of labor is relatively cheaper than it was in 1997 when the shoes first released.

Just look at the price raises:

The raised the price $10 because it was a mandate company wide raise

Then there was a $10 bummed planned by NSW only and at the last second they bumped it 15 instead

Then the started printing stuff on Foams, tagged them as Premium and jacked the price up $25.

What I'm trying to make you understand is that we are not getting the same product as we did in 1997, for a bunch of reasons it is much cheaper for them to produce a pair for shoes, so they have already negated inflation right there. The price bump is for profit

Some other examples to show Nike already has made up the difference:

-The Penny 1 retros with the near same MSRP over a decade after its initial release

-The Air Force 180 retros late last year for 120, a Jordan sneaker released in the same year will retail for $50 more.

To be honest, I wish the yeezyesque foam would be a foamposite one, rather than the pro. I am not a big fan of the extra advertising for Nike. Either way, I like the color scheme.

Thanks for the explanation i needed that breakdown, no sarcasm on my part

These foams would be bought if i could get them at 200 but for 250 no thanks, how come all foams are getting the prm tag???

I'm never buying Inflation argument. Especially after nike charged $250 for lebron forging irons :lol

I've been waiting for shooting stars to drop for awhile. Will spend that $250 for.

Suppose to be only the one with stuff printed on them. But all the recent Foams have had something

It will be interesting to see what the Shooting Stars and Knicks get priced at.

Yea i get you, knicks will probably be 230$ like the sport royals, those stars on the nubuck scream increase retail 20$

Agreed Why is the Air Jordan 11 185, but the Retro 12 & 13 are 170, its all about profit, why would a newer model be cheaper in price than a previous model of a shoe, but we all no why

nikes gonna find a way to overprice their **** anyway... but they could charge me a stack for the yeezy foams im still coppin
