Its interesting cause, in my culture if a women can’t cook. She’s deemed a failure as well as the family who raised her.

My wife doesn’t cook and I don’t care at all. I enjoy cooking, she doesn’t. So, the division of labor makes sense to me. Shrug.

Shellfish in general seems like the seafood gateway (shrimp, crab, etc), but as far as "gateway" fish I'd say that's more along the lines of something like fish & chips rather than a baked/broiled piece of salmon.

I actually very much dislike cooked salmon, honestly.
