FOOD THREAD VOL. GRUB LIFE

OK cook your wife's Kare Kare without peanut butter then. Use almond butter because that's trendy. It's funny when you try to appropriate another culture because of your "preferences".
wife doesnt even make filipino food

Eat the Pizza as is. It wasn't created to have Giardiniera put on IT.

Please Be respetful.
Pizza can be found on any corner or any grocery store. It's past the point of being a "cultural" product.
Can you say the same about Ćevapi? Kare Kare?

I knew you would try and squirm your way out of that one.

So the availability of a food item determines if it is still "cultural" or not?

Just let me know if that is what you are going with here.

I love it. I stated posting here, because politics was too stressful, but people mean business, when it comes to food

Just want to put it out there: The whole NY folding pizza thing... there's no need for that. Pure savagery.

There's a correlation.
Is Chinese food in America really Chinese food?

 I’m in LA and my wife would have no idea how to do it.

When things get back to normal, take a drive down to Solvang. A little Danish village in the Central Coast. A lot of good Danish bakeries there.
I haven’t been to Solvang since summer 1998 .
The fam was talking about going again just before the virus broke out too. Was going to rent those 4wheel bicycle carts to ride through their streets

It's a sandwich, I don't think cheese would be wild. That said it probably won't be delicious.

For the sake of helping YOUR argument, you can classify it however you want.

But again, I love how you conveniently ignored the point of innovation coming from people EXPERIMENTING with "cultural" foods.

If we lived by your illogical (when logic shouldn't even be used in FOOD convos), rules, where the hell would we be in terms of innovation/creativity?

So your, "Eat it the natural way or don't eat it" holds ZERO weight and I seriously doubt ANY of us follow that rule. Including you.
