I’ve recently experienced different tamales from different countries south of the border. The differences are interesting.

Took a crack at making a blueberry pie with a lattice crust.
The lattice part was a a little thin. My poor time management *** didn't start making this until the evening and so I just pulled it out of the oven. Gonna have to wait until tomorrow to try it.

if I had to guess it’s a Mexican style tamale. Make em with my lady’s family.

Masa filled with Monterey Jack cheese, chili, chopped Serrano and jalapeños peppers that was wrapped with hojas.
