I still remember that 1st summer in NYC as a kid from Jamaica when I had a fig newton. Awful experience, the little crunchies caught me off guard, haven't touched it since. Funny enough now I love **** like bacon wrapped figs etc.

Trader Joe;s version are better. The exterior cookie is thicker and the fig is more dense.
