FOOD THREAD VOL. GRUB LIFE

  havent been to Nicey's in years, back when they had a location in the Le, before the gentrification started.

This dude crazy tho for going out in that weather

If that’s the guy’s favorite spot, shouldn’t he have known better than to go there in a snow storm? Feel like I’ve learned enough about Jamaican/Caribbean spots just from NT to know that would be a highly risky move.

Never had a garbage plate, but I’d give one its day in court.

Had Utica greens when I was up in Ithaca. Couldn’t tell if the restaurant just salted the living **** out of them unintentionally or if they’re always that salty.

Yes but it’s the consistency of it - looks like liquify mush in the pictures.

Love mashed potatoes - rather mashed sweet potatoes.

So you would be fine if the mashed potatoes were strong and sturdy? Thick?
I would hope mash potatoes is thick.

Just don’t want it in a pie crust - looking this:

There's a spot out east on Long Island that's known for their pot pies.

They do a short rib pot pie that looks pretty damn good.
