FOOD THREAD VOL. GRUB LIFE

Random thought. My mother in law doesn't eat chicken wings. Who, in their right mind, doesn't like chicken wings?
I don't trust them from restaurants. Chicken wings tend to have that extra yellow "film" on them. It takes a while to clean it. I don't think restaurants are investing the time to clean them. A friend also use to work in restaurants and before he went vegan, he would never eat chicken wings for that very same reason. Says they aren't cleaned properly.

Man. This is my favorite thing to get (Korean fried chicken). I know exactly what you are talking about too with the film.

There's multiple cats in here who would rather have boneless nuggets than wings.
I think some people just don't like eating with their hands and eating meat off the bone. That's my theory. When I was in England I couldn't find a chicken wing to save my life.
People up there eat their chicken wraps with a fork and knife

I'm one of the "crazy" people(according to the thread) who get boneless at Korean spots and other wing spots.
I used to eat boneless. I saw the light, and I cannot turn back.

The mess you make while eating bone in wings is worth it for the tenderness and flavor of the meat (,) you get. Boneless, is just inferior.

With that said, if you’re one who hates getting hands dirty when eating, or isn’t comfortable pulling meat from bones.. I understand. Just don’t ever say boneless is “better” as a statement.

Growing up Filipino I ate and crunched on cartilage alongside my grandparents and thought it was normal.. once I got friends who weren’t Filipino or Asian I understood it wasn’t normal for American culture. So no issues eating from the bone here.

Go re-read my posts, cause it appears that you missed one of them to see my reasoning. I clearly stated that I don't trust purchasing wings from restaurants. Otherwise I eat them when prepared from a trusted source.

I asked my sis in law but she said she never shares her recipes for her cooking  . My fault bro.

Wish there was some but my brother & his wife are vegetarian, lol.

Damn, lol. The food looks good as ****, and I'm sure your sis can throw down some curry channa, and aloo when she wants. That with some sada roti, or dhalpuri roti will be hitting. I had veggie roti with pumpkin, channa, and aloo and it hit all the right spots. Didn't even miss the chicken or goat.
My boy would order boneless wings whenever we would go to BWW or whatever wing spot back in the day. Why the you **** would you go toa wing spot for boneless. His idea was you get more meat (pause) for the money, and technically he might be right but cmon.

I heard boneless wings was just rat parts. Like how general Tso's, or orange chicken could be too

Add me to the the crazy list also. Back in my BWW days I only got boneless. I found their bone in wings to be too dry and not enough meat.

I can’t see myself ordering wings at a restaurant anymore.

I saw it. I was stating in general cause I seen it mentioned. Wasn’t directed @ you directly other than the part about how I used to eat boneless then I had the epiphany.

I’ve never had a boneless wing in my life.

There’s no such thing as a boneless wing.

Them ****s are just chicken tenders are they not?

Why don’t they just call them that?
Yeah it’s a thing where we all play along.

They’re not actually de-boning wings and packaging them.

They’re just smaller chicken tenders but bigger than chicken nuggets.

It’s also why it doesn’t make sense to even compare them to actual wings.

Restaurants won't call them tenders cause they may have tenders(which are larger) on the menu as well.

I mostly do my cooking but you not lying that lil yellow film takes time to clean no way they do that at restaurants. Never thought about that damn

is it the actual chicken and sauce she doesn't like? or using her hands and eating meat off the bone that bugs her? i know people who don't enjoy the actual eating of the wing because it can be messy/awkward

but im with you, wings are awesome. gonna need some tomorrow

Think she finds it too tedious.

Film? I never noticed this from any type of wing I got anywhere.

Honestly probably adds some flavor. :hat
