FOOD THREAD VOL. GRUB LIFE

Solid meals for sure, and yeah that rotini mac and cheese was great. Sandwiches may have been lowkey elite.

It's documented that I'm not even a Macaroni and Cheese dude, but I definitely ate theirs for some reason. It was solid.

Just landed in the Motherland- Pakistan 🇵🇰. 1st breakfast...halva puri, omelets, paratha, channa

Never had Boston market in my life.
Might have to pick up some Taco Bell though

Boston Market was one of those places that people always had negative things to say about. I never understood the hate. Seasoned chicken, solid cornbreads; decent sides. Not really much else to ask for. Solid sandwiches.
There was a blockbuster right next to a Boston market where I lived growing up. Made for some fun weekends when I was younger 🥲

Always loved the Mac and cheese and mashed potatoes from there. And the little pregnant corn breads

Boston Market had a really good creamed spinach. It was good food.

But Americans just voted for racism and misery so Boston Market getting hate and going bankrupt makes sense in 2024.

My man! Was just there for my bday, one of our best in the city for sure.

Some pics from dinner last night;

I know this is an ignorant question, but do places like this have a dress code?
I'm going to be in Chicago this weekend and I've never taken my son somewhere super nice.
He's 17 and, I mean, we're not really the dress up type. 😬

He plays in the high school's jazz band so he has a button up & a jacket.
Slacks & a polo is about as fancy as I get.

Nope, places used to care but nobody give af anymore

slacks and a polo is all you’d need. I was in a plain tee, fleece, jeans, flints lol

even in clubs just wear a tee some jeans and dark sneaks

Nope that’s another reason why I love this place. Not pretentious at all. I dressed casually.

I never dress up for any restaurant. I've yet to be turned away either. If that happens, I'll keep it pushing and eat somewhere else.
