I'm sure Prime already had that talk with him, especially since he sees him as a son. The problem is Travis has tunnel vision when it comes to her, and is insecure. Shorty isn't even all that, she's mad regular, but because she's whatever race she is he feels like he hit the jackpot. He was in her DMs talking to himself for 2 months, lol. That is crazy as hell. Then she has the nerve to tell the world he wasn't her type
. If he wasn't her type then, he's still not her type now. She biding her time and dealing with him until she no longer has to. Then she'll get what she's owed.

Then they try to project that **** on everyone else. Idk if its jealousy because they cant do it or self hatred but everytime they see someone dating outside of their race, they see at as "leaving"(as if such a thing is even possible) and it just confirms that deep seeded idea that they are inferior because they're black. Idk but it’s definitely some suppressed feeling on inadequacy to make people even speak like this. At the end of the day, happy people don't care what make other people happy even it doesn't actually make them happy. And don't even try to fix your fingers to say you care about that man's money and/or well being, because you dont.

definitely get this perspective, people/we often bring our own biases to these type things… i do think there can be more nuanced takes because it is inherently understood that there is a value ‘exchange’ in these circumstances, often as observers we aren’t really privy to what really that ‘exchange’ is beyond the superficial.
so while it might be a certain kind of latent inadequacy or ‘self hating’ thing going on, sometimes it is just what it is given the face (
no pun intended) value; especially when stuff gets put out in front street for people to opine on. man is already getting that nil bag, maybe about to win a heisman, be a top draft pick, and his girl volunteers he ain’t her type…folk are going to run with that

Unless their type is vauge/broad, how many people actually end up with their type IRL? How many women say they want a 6 footer but end up happy with a guy thats 5'9?
