For my 20 year old and 21 year old NTer's...you ever feel like life is moving a little too fast now?

I owe mad money to the courts for a DUI, plus gotta do alcohol and drug classes this summer. plus 65 a month for probation x 12 months. Plus all the feelings of how I dissapointed/embarassed my family.

Feels like college put me in a hole more than it has helped me build. I know the degree will be worth it, but I honestly have never felt lower in my life. Even when I almost didn't graduate HS on time, I had a much more optimistic outlook than I do now. I wish I could just look into the future and see where I'll be in a few years. Wish I could have stayed 17 forever.
i feel ya on the college part. going into it, i was expecting to learn a lot of new things and develop an "expertise" in my major after 4 years. So far it hasn't quite panned out that way after 4 years and 3 changed majors later

. Sometimes I wish instead of going to college right after HS, I would've just worked and stacked my bank account for a year or two then decided on what I wanted to do. It's been an endless cycle past 4 years just working and making all this money for it to disappear from paying off tuition and expenses.

im about to turn 26 at the end of the month.  ill put it like this 20 to 25 flew by for me.  after finishing my freshman year of college and a semester in my sophmore year, i took what at the time was planned to be a "1 semester break" i was 19 going on 20 at the time, i made the huge mistake of working stupid jobs full time to put some money in my pocket and only took 2 classes during a 4 year span.  when i was 23 i said F it i need to get back in school and get my stuff together  that was about 2 and a half years ago and ever since then i feel like i've been catching up for lost time. my take now is im trying to make it that  my later 20's > my early 20's

best thing i can say is be productive with whatever you do and try to live it up while doing so.   it's times i wish i was 19-20 again  but then i realize it's dudes in their early 30's who would love to be my age again.

I'll be turning 20 this coming August, time has crept up on me. I've had to mature much quicker than I ever thought I would have to, due to family issues. Not that there is anything wrong with maturing at this age, because it's expected, but it's the idea of "one day my life was this way, and then literally the day next my life would change forever", and that's how it's been for me ever since July '10.

I had to declare my major the other day before making my Fall 2011 schedule, and I actually wound up changing my major. Thankfully, it's something I have interest in, and making my classes for the fall (I will be a first semester-Sophomore), that have to do with my major has put me at some ease knowing that I know what I have to do starting in the fall, and can enjoy the summer to best I can.

It's not even an age thing with me. I'm willing to embrace 20 years old, and next year 21, because my friends are the same way. None of them are acting older than we are, or younger for that matter. We are just living our lives as much as we can.
