DEADPOOL Director Tim Miller Will Team With Brian Michael Bendis For Mystery X-MEN Movie

According to Deadline, Fox has hired Brian Michael Bendis to develop a nex X-Men movie script for Deadpool helmer Tim Miller to direct. We don't have any details beyond that, but the project is known as 143.

As already mentioned near ad nauseam, there's like a 2 year window for Fox to keep making movies.

And getting Bendis of all ppl? I don't even think they're doing it hoping it'll carry on to the MCU anymore. Just experimenting with wild **** and hoping to make money.

The most hopeful thing in this is Miller will direct.

not sure how reliable the source is but: http://hollywoodnorth.buzz/2018/02/...osh-brolin-to-start-filming-this-october.html

DEADPOOL Spinoff X-FORCE Will Start Shooting Before The Disney/Fox Deal Is Finalised

Deadpool 2 is set to be released this May, while X-Men: Dark Phoenix follows in December and The New Mutants will finally reach theaters next February. While Fox has a lot of different X-Men projects in the works, there's a very good chance that the latter will be the final one released by the studio because Disney is in the process of acquiring the studio and the many Marvel characters it owns.

Well, it appears as if Fox is looking to squeeze one more Marvel movie in before it's too late because a new report claims that X-Force will start shooting this October. That would mean it finishes filming before the Disney deal can go through, a sign perhaps that it will be released late 2019.

X-Men: Dark Phoenix May Introduce The Skrulls

A new intel from an industry insider Jeremy Conrad suggests that the Skrulls are officially confirmed for the upcoming X-Men film. On his website, Manabyte, he shared that he recently“received confirmation from a long-time source that they are indeed in X-Men: Dark Phoenix.” Based on his article, it seems like his tipster was able to watch a part of the flick considering that the source also offered impressions on it saying “it was better than Apocalypse but not as good as Days of Future Past.”

Another trash movies and somehow they get to ruin the introduction of Skrulls.

Captain Marvel can't come soon enough.

SILVER SURFER Movie In The Works

The Hollywood Reporter reveals that solo movies for Doctor Doom and the Silver Surfer are in the works, with the latter being written by Bruan K. Vaughn of Saga and Runaways fame. There are also a number of other "secret projects" in the works, all of which the studio is reportedly moving at "100 miles per hour" on. Will any of them see the light of day? For now, that remains unclear.

"It does not affect this project in any way, shape or form is what I was told," Brian Michael Bendis tells the trade after signing up to work on a Kitty Pryde movie with Deadpool director Tim Miller. "At least at the moment, it's certainly decisions over my pay-grade if it ends up doing so."

In fact, it's "business as usual" at Fox as one insider tells the trade, "We actually have way more in development and production in Marvel IP than at any point in the history of the studio. There's been zero slowdown on that front given Disney."

I know the purchase is still pending but Fox can't at least agree to not touch certain things until marvel has the chance to introduce them

They give no damns. Surprised they’re not trying to copy infinity war and put all the characters they own in a movie to fight galactus and his heralds.

Fox is going to do whatever it takes to waste and make whatever money they can.

Dumb.

I wish they just worked with Disney now with these movies so they're somewhat cannon.

The MCU ain't making no daggone Silver Surfer movie anytime soon. Let Fox take this chance. Apocalypse and Fant4stic are the only ones I didn't like since First Class.
How do you know that marvel wouldn't make a silver surfer movie once they get their hands on the character?

NEW MUTANTS Reshoots Will Add Another Character; Updates On GAMBIT, X-FORCE, And DOOM

The Hollywood Reporter has provided a very interesting update about what's happening with Fox's Marvel movies and the near future is now looking a lot clearer. For starters, Gambit is still looking for a director and the latest draft of the screenplay is expected to be delivered to the studio next month. It's already been greenlit and that means the studio has budgeted it, so the movie isn't dead quite yet.

X-Force meanwhile is set to begin shooting in October and the plan is still for Drew Goddard to take the helm of the spinoff after penning the screenplay. Both Ryan Reynolds and Josh Brolin will star.

Here's where things get really interesting, though; the additional photography taking place this summer for Josh Boone's The New Mutants (which has a new release date of February 22nd, 2019 after originally being slated for release this year) will be inserting a new character! It's not clear whether that's another young mutant, a villain, or even a high profile cameo but start speculating now.

Oh, and that Doctor Doom movie from Fargo and Legion showrunner Noah Hawley is still being developed.

F4 better be in the Doom movie.

I hope this doesn't become a trend with villain stand alone films.

Venom without Spidey
Joker without Batman
Doctor Doom without F4

 :smh:

Comics can get away with stories focused on one character because there are a ton of books that previously got the character right.

These films have not gotten these characters right in other movies before doing a solo film. (Excluding Batman '89 Joker & DK Joker)

Comic book films aren't made just for readers. We know these characters but the general audience do not.

Casual movie goers would not know/care about Thanos if he was not set up over many films.
