The girl is definitely at fault, but Johnson could have EASILY restrained her in that situation. He just went from 0-100, and now he's gonna have to deal w/ the consequences. I don't believe for a second that what he did was self-defense. He's bigger/stronger and in that instance, even with her throwing a punch, what kind of threat was she?

Now his career (for the moment) is over. I'm sure he'll bounce back in due time, but he should have handled things a bit differently.

Shorty wasn't even wrong smh. O'l girl saw him coming then purposely cut him off. She wasn't even in the picture in the first frame. He ignores it for a second...tries to still get to the table then she knees him, says something to him, and puts up a fist. Then she swings on him and he swings back.

Opinion - I don't see how she can be considered a threat even after the weak punch she threw.

Again, I am in NO WAY absolving her of blame because she got the whole thing started...but he could have easily walked away and notified the bar staff OR restrained her by way of a strong bear hug or something along those lines. He does one of those two things (coupled with everything being caught on tape), he's still on the FSU roster as we speak.

Dudes HAVE to think while out in public. He's 18/19, so hopefully he'll learn from this.
