I thought it was just her being crazy too, and OCD with the 3 sips of milk, but that's what's great about this movie. It seems like a lot of what you take away from the scenes symbolically, is partially dictated by your own experiences and views.
Some were obvious like the father's rant about their being too many deer and they're taking over the population. Maybe that further becomes a symbol of his own racism and ironically the tool Chris uses to kill him with later
There's also an, I guess unintended, disassociatedness there. Like her boyfriend is literally down in the basement being killed and harvested for his physical attributes (used), and she's just upstairs eating some cereal. Kind of like society, even the woke-est of them, not really that concerned with our struggle.
Fruit Loops also is a synonym for crazy so there's thay.
Could also be an adaptation to enjoying cereal she learned so as not to wake Walter and Georginia from her Grandparent's since clinking a spoon on a bowl is the trigger to release them from their sunken place.
I also took it as to mean she's basic, bland, like some may say white society is when they're not stealing aspects of others' culture
Also, Georgina was opening the little closet door, Grandma was unplugging the phone. That's how I took it anyways
Nailed it!
