GOAT APP legit?

So I did this earlier this week but I got this message.

"Thanks for your interest in selling on GOAT! A specialist will review your request and we'll be sure to notify you when you are approve! We appreciate your patience in the meantime."

I've read from here and reddit that you get approved immediately but its been 5 days and nothing.
Message them again

I think they are trying to make sure they only have real sellers, with at least 5 authentic pairs to sell to begin with. They would ask you to send pictures of 5 different pairs, different angles. If you don't have those, or they don't like what they see, they may not take you as a seller.

I would just e-mail them, and then work with them through their requests if you want to sell there. Their e-mail is listed on their site if you don't want to use the app to send the message.

Yeah I just messaged them again with 5 pictures on their support section.
This is their response
"Seller requests are being reviewed in the order received. We appreciate your continued patience and understating in the meantime."

I better stop before they get annoyed with me. haha

Another question, does GOAT lower the seller fee to 9% from 9.5% like StockX after I sell 3 pairs?

I'm asking because I resell through a local consignment shop but I had a really bad experience with a employee.

Basically I brought in a pair of shoes I literally wore 2 times.
Said consignment store employee said it will take a long time to sell (even though I knew the market for them)
So I said I still want to list it and he said he will be interested in personally buying and giving me cash for it.

I said ok and he low balls me 50% below my asking.
I go back and forth and settle on a price because I was familiar with the employee.

I go back the next day and he is short by $20 and I start to give him crap because I already was selling it WAYYY below market value
and he goes onto say that he has power to sell ones in the shop if things are priced the same.

I feel like thats a threat because I have lots shoes in the shop and it seems like he will not sell mine first if someone happen to try to get the same shoes.

I hesitantly do the deal but I lost all respect for the said consignment shop and the employee.
Dealt with them for YEARS but I felt like I was blackmailed and now I want to start selling in these apps.

Nope

i would never sell to anyone who shows up with less than agreed on. it's ur fault, not his. next time he'll lowball you again and show up with 40 bucks less.

Yup it's the principle, unless it's a homie or some other extraterrestrial situation

Damn, just sold my 3rd pair on Goat (Jordan XI Breds) and already got an issue - "scratches on left toe box"

Thing is I definitely checked the pair before sending them off and did not see any noticeable scratches (checked the pair under a light too).  Anyways, chose to offer the buyer 5% discount. If the buyer accepts the discount, do I still get dinged 10 points?

no goat doesnt ding 10 points but if it happens too many times they will ban you or you get dinged points. My advice to you is to list as new with defects and just take detailed pictures of everything to be on the safe side. This is still not 100% perfect because your shoe can still be damaged by shipping company or goat inspector and they put blame on you.

Appreciate the response! I've been listing my sneakers under "new with defects" when it comes to obvious flaws like discoloration on the clear soles, ink stains, etc.  It's just this time I guess I missed the scratches on the 11's.

Anyways, the buyer declined the 5% discount and now Goat offered to consign the shoes and pay $1/month or pay $20.28 to ship my shoes back.  Looks like I'll have them hold onto them while I list them again.

I want to sell on StockX since they have that incentive where the more you sell, the lower your fees, but Goat doesn't charge the seller $13.95 for shipping.

aye , I **** with the whole concept of Apps like GOAT and StockX the fact tht buyers can purchase something with a simple click , the legit checking , etc. but I js can't get jiggy with selling a shoe and them taking 9.5-9% + $5.00 of my money , plus I gotta pay for shipping , plus I gotta get charged a fee to put my money in my account after I've already been whomped over the head ... I'd rather js use Facebook groups and get 100% of my money .

only way I'd use those Apps is if I wanted to make a quick sale cuhz I really needed the money ..

good thing you don't sell on eBay, comes out to the same fees but eBay/paypal seller protection sucks so basically you can get scammed without even trying

the, like , 6 times I have sold on eBay I always list when they have the no seller fee promotion . lol so tht helps ease the pain .

don't think eBay has that, I've never seen them completely let people sell for free

I think the most they do is give you 30% off a few sales but I've never seen or heard them basically let people sell with zero FVF

Best I've seen them do is flat fee, sold my phone a while back ago because they were running a $5 flat fee to sell phones, even then they tried to get out of it and had to contact CS to get it adjusted.

naw I THINK they do  .. js checked my email and they sent me a "pay no seller fee" if I list an item by may 1st .. if this the same thing as being able to list for free then they do it . .. but could be wrong .

No fee to list, but you still pay the fee when it sells. I was confused on it too. Thought I'd get no fees but they still sent me a bill at the end of the month.

maybe no insertion fee but again, could be something new but I sell a lot on eBay and best one I received which was new to me was 30% off final value fee for three items if listed and sold within 7 days

unless you're new and some kind of promo for 1 item, I've never heard it. eBay
This is as close to no fee I've ever seen
http://pages.ebay.com/promo/2017/0429/shoes.html

first time I've seen that and of course a promo that ends tomorrow

but either way, still risky to sell on eBay no matter the shoe. too many scum bags man :smh:
